"They're Fine!"
I bought my house 10 years ago; the house is about 30 years old. Although I'm replacing these cabinets, they're fine! I'm just remodeling my kitchen otherwise. The cabinets look good, they hold up, there is nothing wrong with them. Only one thing, the sides of the wall cabinet are "film?" And I had a sticker on it and when I removed the sticker the finish came off, so don't use stickers on the non-wood sides.

"Cabinets are not quality"
I built my home and had no choice as to the cabinet manufacturer. I should mention this is also not my first new home, but have never seen cabinets chip and get damaged soooo easily. The home is just under 9 years old and I am embarrassed by the look of the cabinets. We are already looking to either refinish or replace the doors and drawers in our master bath. Kitchen isn't much better. I would never buy these cabinets again

"Buyers Beware"
I recently purchased a home from Dan Ryan Builders who have selected Aristokraft Cabinetry to be installed in the new homes. These homes are located in Cane Bay Plantation, Summerville, SC and are not entry level homes. After a week of living in the new home I noticed a black bumper pad that fell off one of my cabinet doors that reveled an unfinished extra drill hole. After I started inspecting all the cabinet doors I found extra unfinished drill holes in all my cabinet doors except one. I then had the install company come out to inspect the extra drill holes in all my new cabinet doors. They explained this is how they come from the manufacture and there SOP has them put Styrofoam bumpers over the holes to cover them up. Then they asked if I wanted new bumpers to put over the holes, and I replied NO and said I do not want extra drill holes in my new cabinet doors. I told the Rep the holes makes these cabinets look like second rate clearance rack items that are being put in homes that are not entry level. I then contacted the company trying to find answers and their response was: "Dear Mr. XXXXX, Thank you for writing to us with your question. We do drill small holes on the inside of the doors and drawer fronts so we can hang them to be sprayed with finish in the manufacturing process. Those holes are then covered with bumper pads. We would be happy to send you extra bumper pads if yours are not adhering properly to your doors. Please let us know if you would like a package of bumper pads. We hope this answers your question. Thanks again for writing to us and have a great day! Sincerely, Courtney Customer Service Specialist Aristokraft Cabinets" I was baffled by the response and highly disappointed that their quality control team, and production manager have not thought outside the box in coming up with a more efficient way to give the consumer the best product possible without ruining the integrity of the cabinets. I know they can be finished without extra drill holes because I have one cabinet door that has no extra drill hole and their response was: Mr. XXXXX, We truly apologize that you are less than satisfied with our product. To answer your question as to why some of your doors have shallow drill holes and some do not, it depends on how the door is hung during the finish process. To finish well over 25,000 doors and drawer fronts each day we must utilize the most efficient methods to do so. Aristokraft is a mass produced, stock product. It is not a custom or even semi-custom product line. Aristokraft is a durable, fashionable, but yet affordable, stock product. Dan Ryan Builders is a reputable home builder so we believe they must have good luck with our product to offer it in their not so "entry level" homes. Again, we apologize for your dissatisfaction. If you would like a package of door bumpers to cover up the drill holes in your doors, as they were meant to do, let us know and we would be happy to send them to you. Best Regards, Courtney" So when I say beware I mean beware. They don't care about giving the consumer quality they just care about mass producing the products in quantity, and you get what you get. I would not recommend this line to anyone unless you want cabinetry that looks like a second rate clearance rack item when you open your cabinet doors. I would suggest you do your research and find a company that has better customer service, and a company that cares about giving the consumer a great quality product without jeopardizing its integrity. The response from the Aristokraft customer service rep clearly paints the image of this company of one that only cares about mass production and the bottom line dollar, and not giving the consumer quality products. It truly is a shame.

Aristokraft cabinets have some type of ultra thin veneer on the doors and drawers, and it is peeling off. Terrible. Builder... Ryland Homes... also awful.

"Well I guess I am out of Luck too :("
After reading all these postings about the terrible cabinets made by Aristokraft... I guess I am out of luck too on getting these peeling cabinet doors and drawers replaced. I guess I will start saving my money and have all these cabinets replaced by someone else. Wow! What happened to customer service and doing the right thing? So sad :(

"Rip off cheap cabinets"
I too bought a new home thought I was getting wood cabinets. Had the house built 6 or 7 years ago. The cabinets, if you can call them that have begun to get mushy where moisture is and I can take my finger and push in the side of the cabinets and it becomes mushy like a soft cookie. The contractor, I am finding out went the cheap way on everything. I picked the cabinets out but they were to be wood not this veneer or what every it is. Just decided to look up the name of the cabinets and find that I am not the only one that was deceived. The company that these cabinets from will never get anymore business from me.

"Very Poor Quality"
We recently purchased a DR Horton new home in Florida. We were excited about getting a nice new kitchen. The cabinets looked nice but scratch very easily. I am most disappointed in the interior skins of the cabinets. They are not holding up at all to normal everyday use (staining, peeling). They sent someone out and he said they all needed to be redone but developer refused and said they would do only two and do not tell the neighbors! Also the kitchen cabinet company refused to fix the product. You cannot even clean them lightly. Would not recommend them at all.

"Terrible Quality"
We purchased a home almost 20 years ago that had these cabinets. (2 years old at the time). I did not choose them. We did our best to make them look better (they were the neutral brown oak with veneered particle board raised panel doors, and paper end panels) I ordered the matching stain and added my own finished plywood end panels to give it a mission style look. I have over the years refinished the face frame of the island (the finish turned milky colored, and I got slivers every time I touched the frames) I have reattached drawer fronts and reinforced them, dealt with drawer tracks that are falling off, cut out the half shelves , and now the back appears to be separating from the sides of the upper cabinets- of course-it is rabetted in thin particle board. I am wondering how long it will stay together as particle board will only take so much (of course it is my dish storage cupboard) I heartily regret not replacing them immediately.

"Terrible customer service"
The products were not delivered timely delaying construction by weeks. Products had to be reordered. The holes for the cabinet sides did not match. The lazy Susan grinds and does not move freely. Rough edges around the shelves. Draw facing attached by staples. I could build better shelves in a high school shop class. Terrible customer service. Orders to repair products were lost. Shipment was mistakenly delivered to another state half-way across the country. It has been over 2 months since Aristocraft was made aware of the problem and we are still in the same situation. I would never buy this product again! I have never written a negative review - but I just had to let people know about this product and how the company supports its product.

"Don't waste your money"
I have a 4,500 sq ft home with these cabinets. We paid a lot of money for them and after just a few years they are complete junk. The paint is chipping. There are cracks in doors that are never even used or opened. Don't waste your money on this product.

"Garbage Cabinets"
Aristokraft is garbage. My cabinets are peeling on drawers, cabinet doors. I called seller Express Kitchens Newington CT and the only solution they offered me was send sizes and they will quote me on repair. I paid for them once all ready and if I want to keep what's not peeling I will have to pay yet again. Aristokraft will not warranty it's 6 years. I should have called when the 2 drawers started peeling 1.5 years ago.

"Poor quality, even worse service"
I have Kraftmaid Oaklands cabinets in my kitchen for past 15 years. I have had numerous problems. On one drawer, the front came off completely & had to re-glue them back together. A door cracked. Most of the spring returns on the hinges in my kitchen wore out & had to order new ones. My worst experience by far was that I recently needed new 4 new doors from them. I brought a door into one of their local dealers to get a match. I ordered 4 doors that looked the same color as the sample, however when they arrived, I only opened 1 box, and it did not match my cabinets for whatever reason... Maybe the lighting at the showplace was different than my house, etc, etc. Come to find out I am now stuck with $300 of non-matching cabinet doors, because Kraftmaid does not accept returns, even for the unopened doors. I would stay away and never buy their products again, not just for how they have held up, but for the poor customer service

"Cabinets review"
We order white kitchen cabinets and some dark stain kitchen cabinets when we were building a new house. 90% of the white cabinets faces were poor paint quality. We were told that this was caused by shipping, but I hardly believe that considering the faces on the inside of the doors hardly had any paint on them. Most of our door faces have been replaced and they even gave us the extra faces to swap out if needed. The dark cabinets were in a little bit better shape, but still had some of the same wear marks and poor finish quality. We have been battling the issues with our cabinets for a month and a half. I would not recommend these cabinets as it has been a big waste of our time and very frustrating.

"Totally Garbage"
Thermofoil started peeling off two years after installation. Gluing doesn't work for any length of time and we are now having to proceed with total replacement of all cabinets. A costly mistake allowing the contractor to put these in. There really isn't any quality in any aspect of this product. Don't buy.

"Stay away from these products"
Remodeled kitchen this summer and was led to this product by cabinet company. Should have caught on when first units were unboxed damaged. Company has been sending us replacement doors and drawer fronts damaged since install. Absolutely no quality control, poor follow up, lousy product. Stay away, buy quality, save yourself time, do your homework. Considering litigation now. Crap!
