Review:
"VERY Disappointed"
I am still in process on my kitchen remodel. I chose Fieldstone cabinets due to my kitchen designer recommending their quality. It took 6 months to get the cabinets. I understand there have been supply chain issues with the pandemic. I thought it was worth the wait for high quality cabinets. Nope. 50% of the doors came damaged with scrapes and nicks on the painted cabinets, split wood on the stained cabinets, and bubbled varnish on the stained cabinets. There was one place on a stained cabinet door that looked like someone placed their hand on it before the finish was dry. Several of the plywood shelves were so badly warped that the shelves rocked inside the cabinet. Definitely not sturdy for valuable dishes. On two cabinets, the hinges were missing screws. Also, they did not include any extra shelf pegs in case one was bad or misshapen. I am going through my dealer to get replacements for all of the damaged pieces, but am concerned that due to such poor quality control, the replacements will come damaged. I'm pretty upset I believed their quality craftsmanship hype on their website. Fieldstone's quality control is abysmal.

"Poor Quality, Horrible Management and Expectation"
I will never use these frauds again. I'm an interior designer. Recent project I ordered cabinets in May. They said 16 weeks. We plan Ed accordingly and demoed client's kitchen in August. Then they changed delivery to week of September 13th. Then they changed to week of September 27th. Then they changed to week of October 11th. Then yesterday o got a call that it's now the week of October 18th. This isn't a pandemic issue. If you don't have the ability or the materials? It's fraud for you to have taken and keep holding the money. My client has been without a kitchen for two months now with no end in sight. Either they are in production or being delivered, or you simply have no idea and are just harvesting money with no idea as to whether you'll be able to fulfill orders. Adding two weeks or a week on at the end of the week doesn't do anything. I've used them in a previous kitchen. And certain pieces were sent with a completely different stain or defective. I had to wait a month for replacements before I could have the countertops templates for quartz. They are not at all worth all of the headaches they cause me or my clients.

"Update to previous review"
Brief update - after posting my review "Absolute Garbage" (see below), I finally received a phone call from a Fieldstone representative. I expressed my outrage at having received defective replacements for defective cabinets, and now being in the position of having to live with them because the 3rd delivery (2nd set of replacements) took too long, and we couldn't hold the construction up any longer. She offered me $500 (about 1% of my order) with the mandatory condition that I post nothing online about my experiences. I refused. Her unethical attempt to bury a truthful account of my experience and how they responded further demonstrates what kind of company Fieldstone is... I'd definitely look elsewhere!

"Absolute Garbage"
We are so sorry about our decision to buy Fieldstone cabinets with white inset drawers and doors for the kitchen of our new home. When the shipment arrived, 2 of the cabinets were not square, and another cabinet was primed but had never been painted!! We sent pictures to our sales rep, and he re-ordered these cabinets for us under Fieldstone's warranty. After waiting 3 weeks, the replacement cabinets arrived, and the same 2 cabinets were out of square again! No quality control whatsoever! Our salesman re-ordered them again, but at this point we and our builder can't delay the job any longer and need to proceed with countertops, so we will have to live with island cabinets which are not square. The 18" cabinet measures 18" in front and 17" in back!! The builder pried open the back of this cabinet and braced the back so we can use it, but for what we spent, we feel ripped off with this make-shift fix. The other cabinet can't be altered like that, so our 10' long island is not straight. I wish I could post pictures with this review. No one from the company called us to explain nor apologize. Stay away from Fieldstone — Overpriced Garbage!

"Beautiful, High Quality"
We have gotten so many compliments on our kitchen remodel and especially on our Fieldstone cabinets. They are absolutely beautiful and very high quality. We love how roomy they are and how easy it is to organize our things so we have easy access to everything. We are also really enjoying the soft close feature. Our kitchen looks so elegant, like it came straight out of a magazine- we couldn't be happier!

"Homeowner"
When my husband and I decided it was time to remodel our kitchen we began at Dream Kitchens of Brighton Mi. After comparing cabinet styles, construction quality, and features we decided on Fieldstone Cabinetry hands down. The selection of door styles and finishes met our expectations. I wanted a white but not so stark white cabinet. The Maple Dove with Nickel Glaze is amazing. The glaze is suddle, added character. When guests see our new kitchen for the first time they compliment our cabinets first. We had a semi-custom piece made to look like a piece of furniture with optional feet. The round bun feet look great! Our Island is in the Maple Villa Black. The contrast is exactly what I wanted. The perimeter lower cabinets I struggled with drawers vs doors. I'm happy to say the drawers we chose are large and deep enough to accommodate my varied size pots and pans. I cook and bake plenty, so we chose options for maximal storage and convenience. I like that the cabinets feel durable and the slow close I love. I've had plenty of spills and splashes, they wipe clean easily without leaving marks. I would purchase Fieldstone Cabinets again, Made in the good ole USA!

"Poor Quality Control"
Like other reviews, I agree that there are quality issues with Fieldstone cabinets. We decided to use Fieldstone because a contractor/dealer mentioned they were "high end" vs. the other brand he carried. Our contractor and the dealer/contractor both commented on how well the cabinets were built from the inside vs. others brands, but also noted that the skin on the side of the cabinets was "cheap" particle board with skin, and would tend to chip. So if you wipe down the cabinet on the bottom edge, it will possibly chip. I would recommend buying the decorative moulding to prevent this from happening. If you don't report any issue to Fieldstone within 48 hrs after receipt, they assume you did it, and will not accept a return. The shelves are made of plywood and paper skin (looks like wood) on the outside. We had an issue where the skin was ripping because they made the shelves too tight when fitting into the cabinet. In addition, we ordered glazing which was inconsistently applied (missing in spots, smudging, overspray). We reported this to the dealer who said it was "within tolerance" and there was nothing he could do. We had a painter check it and she mentioned she had seen similar cabinets with glaze, and the Fieldstone cabinets were of poor quality. You can go to Home Depot or Lowes and see better quality glazing on their cabinets. They play "games" with the quote... our original quote was over $40K higher than we paid due to a the "contractor discount." Our quote shows both prices ...Huh ? I would definitely recommend shopping around for different cabinet brands and look at quality vs. cost differences. I would not buy Fieldstone again, and would not recommend them to anyone.

"Would Not Rebuy"
For the money I spent I would not rebuy on Fieldstone. Within 4 mths of install the paint came off on the door where the edge was. Fieldstone would not replace the door. I had to rebuy another set of doors. They are over priced for the quality.

"Poor quality"
About a year ago I purchased all of my kitchen cabinets at Fieldstone. When they arrived I found the following issues: Boxes were out of square, cabinets were visibly misaligned, exposed staples inside cabinets, dovetailing was rough and unfinished, bottom of hanging cabinet was bowed, visible gaps inside cabinets, and drawers did not close properly. Buy your cabinets elsewhere!

"Beautiful Quality & Awesome Service"
I have sold multiple Fieldstone kitchens and bathrooms over the last 3 years and while I have had minor issues, Fieldstone's customer service is phenomenal with getting replacements out quickly. There is exceptional quality control but they are only human so it's understandable when minor issues do occur. These cabinets are beautiful quality and are backed by a lifetime warranty. They look gorgeous in any color/finish/door style and there are limitless options to suit any clients style. Fieldstone is always my go to line because they have so many customization options and price points. You won't go wrong with your local Fieldstone Dealer.

"They make it happen."
I have been working with Fieldstone Cabinetry for sometime now. After 10 years working with only stock and semi custom lines I can honestly tell you that if you can dream it Fieldstone can make it happen, if they don't already have it in their standard specs. They run the gamut of doors type and colors, as well as construction options. They offer many things that other manufacturers don't and as a designer it makes my job infinitely easier. Their customer service and sales reps are extremely responsive, and the quality is fantastic.

"I didn't know my bathroom could look so good"
I bought a few bathroom cabinets for my masterbath to get my bathroom out of the 70's look it had since my grandma owned it. I got a grey stain on Cherry wood and boy does it look nice. I'm a guy and didn't need much storage but they put a cool Roll out Tray under my sink for my cleaning supplies. Great cabinets and what a great look.

"Not so eco-friendly"
We went with cabinets because they had a nice-sounding "green" story on their website. Even though there was no info on the finish they used, their thoughtful approach to the ecology in building cabinets led us to make a leap that if they are thinking about health and ecology to that extent, the finishes couldn't be horrible. The cabinet stain we chose (Java) has a material safety data sheet (MSDS... document required by OSHA) reads like a horror show. It's cool they have the wood working side of the equation "greened." Very little in the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs: carcinogenic gas that is emitted into your household at low levels for years). The finish, however, needs much improvement in the VOC department. If anything, a consumer wants it the other way around... the finish, which forms a seal on the wood should be the VOC-free component. We only found out about the stain by special ordering the stain to apply it to some other custom woodwork we wanted to match the cabinets. The MSDS was enclosed. We hoped to return the ridiculously priced stain ($50/pint), but were denied due to Fieldstone special order policies. As for workmanship in the cabinets, it's only mediocre. My father, who has extensive experience with cabinets declared them "cheaply made" upon taking the first one out of the box.

"No Quality Control"
Remodeled our kitchen and used Fieldstone cabinets recommended by our designer. Cabinets are beautiful but have a host of issues. No quality control at Fieldstone. Here are items we had to deal with. No base for one of the cabinets. One cabinet made wrong. One cabinet came with damaged door. Oven cabinet made incorrectly. Had to rework myself to get it to work. Two cabinets out of square. Door hinges cut wrong on one cabinet and it took three sets of doors before we had a replacement that would work. Buy another brand!

"Cabinets not recommended due to chipping"
We remodeled our kitchen in 2005. I picked an antique cream finish for the Cabinets. Cabinets started chipping within a couple of years. They came out and replaced a couple of them. After that they started chipping again. Salesman told me my fault. I am not keeping them dry and not taking care of them. I was stunned. I will not recommend these Cabinets to anyone.

"High Quality and Beautiful"
We remodeled our kitchen and wanted quality cabinets that were beautiful and affordable. Our kitchen designer, Angela at Kitchen Choreography in Traverse City, Michigan recommended Fieldstone cabinets and we are delighted with that decision. The cabinets are elegant and the options gave us more room and usefulness than we'd ever had before. We have friends who are "custom" cabinetmakers which are very expensive. Fieldstone gave us a great alternative to allow us to keep our project in budget with a high quality product. Angela at Kitchen Choreography was fantastic in helping us lay out the kitchen and working with us to insure we got the kitchen we'd hoped for. In addition to the cabinets she helped us with counter top selection, lighting layout and other details which has provided us with a kitchen we'd only imagined was possible within our budget. She's the best!
