"Horrible experience"
The quality control person must be on vacation for the year. The blind cabinet was on the wrong side (had to move drawer and door). Two cabinets had the hinges on the wrong side, now there are screw holes where there should not be. The stain on 2 cabinets do not match the rest of the cabinets (I had a family member fly from Illinois to Arizona to install the cabinets, I did not have time to return them and wait an additional 3 weeks for new cabinets, so they had to be installed). The panel used on the island was scratched. I ordered two waste basket cabinets, one did not have a trash can. I waited 5 weeks to get a trash can... yes, really. The top drawer of the pots and pan cabinet is not even when sliding in. Please use any other cabinet manufacturer.

"Cheap crap"
I renovated a mobile home and bought all white Hampton bay cabinets. Most had to be returned due to flaws like broken pieces and doors mounted crooked. The best ones were kept and still are of cheap poor quality. Will never buy this junk again

"Crappy cheap junk"
Well Totally my fault. A complete kitchen redo. In a hurry because our co tractor told me to have everything ready. I panicked and ordered these. Contractor never showed. These were delivered to our house. No damage. I was appalled to find the finish on the white cabinets so thin. It's like correction fluid. I would say paper thin, but no it's not a measurable amount. Extremely poor quality. Doors don't align and drawers won't stay closed. I threw away $1,800. I am afraid of wiping them too hard, as the plastic finish may come off. Pretty embarrassed I did this. Retired and can't afford to replace them. From a distance looks good. Do not under any circumstance waste your money!. Beyond garbage

Nothing was straight... stationary panels were horribly aligned and uncorrectable. I feel sorry for anyone who puts this in their kitchen thinking thy will get a good look. Compared to Kraft Made from home depot these are garbage. I would never buy these again.

"Hampton med oak"
Two cabinets came on damage. One the front of the cabinet wasn't even attached...every staple that was put in missed its mark but one. Open drawer to place cabinet and the whole front came off in our hands. This was not a shipping problem this was a manufacturing problem.. The other one a blue forklift damaged. Store took responsibly for that one.

"Not unfinished"
I purchased two unfinished cabinets. The cabinet is advertised as unfinished, the doors are unfinished but the box came with some type, of vinyl wrap, I planed on painting the cabinets, so I primed them with a top quality primer only to see the primer rejectioned, I had to remove the primer, then lightly sanded with a orbital sander then used "gloss off" and then re-primed. You need to specify what your selling

"Specialty Cabinet"
Went to Home Depot picked up a cabinet still in the box. Never opened. Got it home pulled part ways out of my truck to open to take into install. At the bottom corner was a broken area that was so called repaired and I have pictures. It was cracked, outside wood grain was glued on if that is what you want to call it. The brown looked like wax stick material was put on it to hide the Screw up not even same color. Has bad spot on the front. Again still in the factory box and sold to Home Depot this way. We were getting ready to buy a full kitchen of cabinets to install. If you have any other choices do not buy this brand. This is junk! I can not believe Home Depot is still carrying this junk. QC people should be fired.

"Not too bad for the price"
I bought the Elgin White thermofoil cabinets two years ago. Knew it was a cheap product but had an installer familiar with it and with Euro style cabinets. Turned out pretty good even though the project had a few snags. Molding pieces missing and 2 cabinets got lost during shipping. Knuckleheads, listen up. Never tear out your cabinets until you have all of your new cabinets in. I worked with this stuff for a lot of years and that's just the cardinal rule of kitchen remodeling. After getting your cabinets and making sure it's all the right stuff, then schedule your contractor. It's really that simple. Not the best cabinets ever but also seen a lot worse.

"These cabinets are junk! Where is the quality assurants in this company?"
Almost every cabinet had knicks or flaws. Had to replace 4 cabinets 3 doors. Was able to hide some by reversing doors. Discoloration on many. Would not recommend to anyone! They're junk. Apparently nobody inspects before shipment.

"Hideous quality. Belongs in the trash."
These must be the poorest quality cabinets you can buy. We bought from a dealer and I was never told I was buying garbage. We trusted the person because he was recommended by a contractor (friend) of ours. Didn't do due diligence. If there is ever a class action lawsuit against RSI (the manufacturers of Hampton Bay) I would like to be a part of it.

Review:
"9 mos later"
We live in Sioux City, Ia. Bought Hampton Bay kitchen cabinets medium oak through Home Depot. 9 months later we still are not done. Between Home Depot's horrible in-store rep. that gave us incorrect information and wrote the information wrong on the ticket, to receiving accepting part of the first of the order that came in, 2 totally wrong cabinets and 2 broken cabinets that the receiving department should of caught as package was very damaged. Took 4 weeks to get cabinets. Took 6 weeks to get replacement cabinets. Found out by looking on line there was a above the sink cabinet 24 " inch length which is a standard size, which in-store rep said they only came in a 15 " length. I told her I didn't want any 15" Width or length cabinets. Went ahead and purchase d the 24" cabinet and had it sent to the store and 2-18" x 30 decorative cabinets one ordered as a 18x30 with slates the other ordered 30x18 with slates. These were two of the types of cabinets I had mentioned that I wanted to the rep. These were special order, I also saw a pantry closet and waste basket / recycling center. I had the special order cabinets sent to my home. The following day I returned to Home Depot and spoke with the Hampton Bay Rep. whom relayed to me that Hampton Bay Reps are given no information on special order cabinets. I really find that information to be very important for them to have. Most companies I looked at had these cabinets in their standard line. The base cabinets were in and then the counter top people were called for measurements. I was told this would take 6_8 weeks. It took 7 weeks. After they put it on, then one of the three cabinets came in wrong. Both decorative cabinets came in as 18x30 which made them both vertical cabinets, when one was to be a horizontal for a microwave. The cabinet for above the sink came in correctly. It is now the first week of October. We purchased a new refrigerator and stove in hopes that with a smaller stove and refrigerator it would give us more room to move the stove so that it would set more in the center of the spaces designated for the stove and refrigerator. The refrigerator it worked though the base cupboard was now too small and the stove was still 3- 3 1/2 inches off to one side. We would have to not only replace the base cabinet that is between the stove and refrigerator and the cabinet on the wall that will hold the microwave, now replace a part of the cabinet. Between Nov. 1-13. Contact Ed the assistant manager of the store that works with the counter people three times. The final decision was that we entered into contact and all they could do is have a piece of counter top cut, we would have to pay for it and find someone to install it. As far as the other cabinets we can either place new orders or go online ourselves. The other base cabinet that needs a new counter top we could perhaps use any of the three pieces we have, two from the first cutting, then the one from this last cutting. He relayed some local shops that could possibly help us with this. After dealing for 9 months and Hampton Bay and the company Home Depot that sells the product I would never ever recommend using either of these companies. Hampton Bay who sends out damage d products and the incorrect products and the long long waiting times to receive products, then refusal to expedite product. As far as Having this product at Home Depot stores, I believe all one has to do is read just how uncaring they are to their customer s and how I'll trained their staff are.

"Satin white 24"base lacks quality control"
Hampton Bay kitchen cabinet products. First off Hampton Bay the name sounds so nice for a failing product. I have already written RSI products on their quality control and shipping items of poor workmanship. In several different stores items were totally lax. Also I was blatantly lied to by someone named Zack at the Apex NC store. I had to go to several stores and have the product unpacked to check. So, as to cut the time of my day since now I'm at hours of shopping and back and forth from store to home I had customer service in Cary NC call and ask (Zack) to unpacked and inspect before I lost more time and gas. When I got there it was packaged and not done. I heard Zack tell Marie in Cary store he will check, Cary and Apex have great female customer service but I can not say the same for the male workers in Cary and Zack in Apex NC! The women in both stores helped me feel relaxed. After Heart surgery I try so hard to be calm. I have learned a valuable lesson. I applied for a credit card with Lowes!

"Pour quality"
I am shocked that a store like Home Depot would even be carrying a cheap product like Hampton bay cabinets. We are now in dispute with them and Hampton bay. we purchased 6 cabinets for our new church, and were so disappointed with the quality. We thought they would fall off wall because of cheap thin backs put together with only staples. the base cabinet with drawers, would not open smoothly. The inside drawer front had about 20 staples protruding out inside that it looked as though a child had done it. The stain was inconsistent on door fronts. When we seen the display in the Home Depot store it was nothing like we received. What I am most disappointed with is that we cannot get a decent made product in America. we are going through all proper channels to get this resolved. But do not buy the Hampton Bay cabinets from Home Depot!

"Cabinets & hardware"
Very poor service & quality is marginal, the way they prep & pack the cabinets is terrible- ordered 12 cabinets waited 6-8 weeks 3 were damaged & soft close mechanisms on one were damaged - they want pictures of everything like it really is helping with the quality control. Home Depot should warn customers or tell Hampton Bay they are gonna drop them as a vendor if they can’t mfg a better product

"Poorly made cabinets"
Cabinets are very poorly made. They must not have a quality control department. I would be embarrassed to ship something like this. I will never again buy anything made by Hampton Bay and advise everyone I know to avoid their products.

"Returned broke cabinets"
Finally after talking my husband in redoing our kitchen we ordered hampton bay cabinets. When delivered most were broke had to return the broke cabinets and wait a month to get new order and guess what those were broke also. Not sure where the problem is with shipping or just a bad product. Will never buy anything with the name hampton bay again.
