"Love My Kraftmaid Kitchen Cabinets!"
In 2004 I had my whole kitchen done with Kraftmaid cabinets. All these years I have enjoyed the great quality at a great price. However, over time, sometimes maple wood can begin to flaw. My recent experience to have several door panels replaced due to some fine lines showing up on a few of my door panels prompted me to contact their Customer Care dept. My cabinets came with a "Life-time" warranty, and I was very pleased that their customer care service was so efficient in having both doors replaced. One of the replacement doors did arrive with some flaws and they did not hesitate to make it right and quickly sent another door out. Kraftmaid has an excellent Customer Care Dept and they were so good to make sure I was happy with both replacements. It is such "peace of mind" just knowing that they stand behind their products 100%. The experience I had with their Lifetime Warranty Service has been an excellent one. I will most definitely recommend Kraftmaid to family & friends because of their excellent customer service, and quality is backed by their Lifetime Warranty which has been proven to me. Thank you Kraftmaid for making me one happy customer :-) Anna (San Jose, CA)

"Cabinets"
I was very disappointed with my Kraftmaid cabinets. I ordered a lot of them for a lot of money. The cost of the cabinets did not match the quality. Seven cabinets doors had to replaced b/c of discolorations and scraps I noticed upon delivery. Also, 4 of the doors I had to replace were glass doors with a pattern. They were very expensive. Two of those glass doors had a different placement of lines and lines were lighter than the other two glass doors. So, the patterns did not match! After they replaced the two doors with a different pattern, the new doors matched but still had some extra "glue" on the glass that I am unable to get out. Although the glue is in a small area of the glass, it should not be there!!!! I gave up and keep the replacement doors, hoping that nobody notices. Also the "easy close" feature does not work so well on all the cabinets. These cabinets are "pretty" but have many flaws if you look behind the surface!!! I do not recommend this product for the money.

"Great Cabinets"
I really wanted a high-end look for our 1880's home, but just didn't have the money for high-end priced cabinets. Went to Lowes and designed my own kitchen using shaker-style Kraftmaid cabinets in Canvas and love the way my kitchen turned out. I used vintage hardware and the kitchen is absolutely beautiful. We found that Kraftmaid offered us the best options for the price. I was worried about quality and consistency, but had no problems. The cabinets are well-made and durable (we have 4 teenagers so they have to be!)and look as good if not better than much higher priced designer cabinets. Would recommend Kraftmaid to to others for sure.

"Disappointed"
I was very excited to order custom made cabinets. When it arrived, they were beautiful. After moving to my newly build home, I notice right away, the slides came apart at the connection underneath. Not just one but I was constantly putting it together. Thats when I discovered how poorly it was put together. Screws missing, unevenly assembled, and screws crooked. Also,a screw was places so closed to the edge,it caused the wood to splinter off, so now the inside edge is damaged. There is no excuse. It is very upsetting, no pride was considered during assembly. When you think you are buying the best product for your new home and it was poorly thrown together, it certainly affects the product.

"Middle price, middle quality, big box store standard"
So my Kraftmaid dark Hayward cherry cabinets aren't necessarily bad, but they aren't necessarily good either. Of course I prefer them to ikea particleboard, but in no way are they up to the level of a real designer kitchen. In a little over a year, the cabinets have changed shape such that the doors are warped and the finish is uneven. The doors close with medium smoothness and the whole package is a medium experience altogether. Box box price, big box experience. Not bad, but you get what you pay for. It doesn't help that we had a horrible installer, who drilled completely off-level holes and half the screws are simply blasted into the sheetrock. Sometimes I can't tell if it was the installer or Kraftmaid that makes all the doors off level and rub with every cabinet opening. The installer didn't warp the wood or cobble together an ultra "rustic" finish however, so I blame that on kraftmaid. I will say that the particleboard shelves are GREAT and finish is durable and the pegs fit solidly in the holes. I am passionate about American made everything and wish these things were a shining example of our potential. But honestly, at 8x the IKEA cost and not much of a boost, I will consider going high end (Sie Matic, Snaidero) or back to IKEA. The rest of the kitchen is Viking and Bosch and I can't say I'm thrilled with the Viking crap either. The damn burners don't light on the range all the time, which is completely unacceptable for a $4K range. I came from a 2K GE profile range which was 100% reliable for YEARS. The Viking microwave display doesn't work. I am a very busy professional and I would rather replace just all this junk than deal with stupid service repair on my precious weekends. If a brand screws me over I will never go back.

"Quality and Service are horrible!"
I spent $17,000 on my Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets and it took them over 6 weeks to deliver the cabinets. Once the cabinets were delivered, we discovered very poor craftsmanship such as gluing cabinets together and not fulling nailing them in. Other issues were poor hardware and drawers not closing smoothly. In addition, some pieces were missing. We spoke to a local Kraftmaid Rep who just simply apologized for the poor crafsmanship and said that he would order the missing parts so that we could finish our kitchen. Two months later, the parts finally arrived! My kitchen was on hold for 2 months as a result of the delays. They did not care to give me a discount or rush the missing items. I should have opted for cheaper cabinets made in China for this poor level of service and craftsmanship. I will never buy Kraftmaid again!!!

"I would buy Kraftmaid again"
It's been almost 20 years now since my cabinets were installed. I have the natural cherry cabinets. It took some time back and forth to actually receive the correct items but I blame that on the distributor, not the cabinet maker. I've raised my 3 kids from infants to adulthood and these cabinets have stood the test of time with them abusing them, slamming them, as well as their friends. They still look like new with no damages to report except once I had to adjust the lazy susan for height and I think that was due to my kids using it as a stair case to get on top of the counter. Over the years, the color character has evolved into an exceptional patina that just keeps getting better with age. I added ceramic knobs to keep human oils and food from the hands off of them. It's probably time I replace the pads on the doors but after almost 20 years, I really can complain. I love them now like I did when they were new. I can only hope that the new one have the same quality as my old ones. Kudos to Kraftmaid. Maid in USA ;)

"poor construction"
We ordered our Kraft Maid white laminate kitchen cabinets through Lowe's and were very happy with them at first. However, after a couple of years, the laminate started to bubble up on some of the doors. Lowe's put us in touch with a Kraft Maid customer service representative, who assured us they would send replacement doors. The first doors they sent did not match (size & style) so we had to get another set of doors sent. A few months later, the same problem came up with more of the doors and also one of the ones that had already been replaced. Again, Kraft Maid sent replacements. After that, one of our upper cabinets suddenly came loose from the wall. My husband happened to be in the kitchen at the time & caught it before it fell all the way. We propped it up & called a friend who builds cabinets to come & remove it. He discovered that the back of the cabinet was not constructed in a way that gave it enough strength to support it. He reinforced the cabinet & hung it back up. A few months later, the rest of the upper cabinets also began to come loose. The Kraft Maid representative advised us to take everything out of the cabinets & prop them up somehow to keep them from falling. It was a month before the representative came to our house to look at the cabinets. He said they need to be taken down, reinforced with l brackets, re-glued & screwed back together. He has seen this problem many times if the cabinets are not attached to the ceiling. We have a space of about a foot between the cabinets and the ceiling, so they are not attached to it. He advised us to contact Lowe's about getting repairs done. We called Lowe's but they refuse to do anything because they did not install the cabinets. We have had our dishes in boxes for almost 2 months now & cannot find anyone who will repair our cabinets. We are very dissatisfied with the construction of the cabinets. We bought Kraft Maid thinking they were high quality cabinets. We will never buy anything from them again.

"super customer service"
We have Kraftmaid-cabinets in our kitchen for 2 years. Everyone who visited us thinks that these cabinets made our kitchen a luxury one. Recently, we asked a repair-service; KraftMaid quickly sent an experience tech, Fred Torch, to our house. Fred carefully inspected the damaged part, explained us how this part been damaged, and discussed with us about his repairing plan/strategy. We were totally convinced by his expert explanation. With our agreement, he started his work. We have to admit that his professional work eased our unhappiness/worry on the damaged cabinet door . With his magic finger, the damage was hardly to be recognized. We are 110 % satisfied with his work. We start realizing that one of the main reasons that KraftMaid Cabinetry ranked highest among cabinet manufacturers in satisfying customers is because they own a group of experienced and dedicated field technicians, like Fred, who strongly back the KraftMaid products and provide customers a piece of mind.

"Excellent product and service from Home Depot"
We chose the Dove white painted cabinets and the designer at the Warrenton or store designed our whole remodel of our kitchen. We were on vacation and hadn't expected such quality of good service. When we arrived home, we called and emailed the remainder of the measurements and details and the cabinets were ordered. Because of our location, we picked up our cabinets and we chose an installer who had done cabinets before and was sure and quick about his work. In 2 days they were all in and we discovered a glitch or two... Some incorrect units were sent, but that was cleared up in no time and new ones were shipped out. One more visit from the installer and the glass and marble tile backsplash went in and the correct cabinet was installed and I did all the filling of the nail holes with Polyfill and Dap and touched up the finish with a small dabber sort of felt pen with white paint in it that had been supplied. The crown molding was tricky to install but believe it or not, with the nail holes filled, there is no evidence of one nail when a person looks up at the molding. We had beautiful granite installed by the granite supplier and it comes with a 15 year warranty on its Dupont coating... Easy cleanup and no marks. We used a click Vinyl tile called Harbinger which was relatively easy to install ourselves and the floor looks incredible. I love my new kitchen and the quality of the cabinets..white painted on the outside, shelves, drawers etc are a warm maple...very nice...Three lazy susans with a rim in the upper corner cabinet...perfect for storing multitudes of glasses! The pull outs, deep drawers, divided drawers and knife centre make it above any standards we could have afforded locally. Our support from Home Depot was excellent all around and the Kraftmaid representative answered our questions and made the whole experience pretty good. Now I can cook and bake and entertain and love my new Kraftmaid kitchen!

"They can't build a square box"
I am beyond livid with my cabinets. When they arrived there were at least 8 damaged components and I have a small kitchen. We also had 4 freestanding drawers that were built as an accent feature. Apparently kraftmaid can't handle building a squared off box. Thy have been lopsided even on the reorder for damages. I would not recommend kraftmaid to my worst enemy. As far as customer service, they have issues with returning calls which only makes customers more irate. A point they obviously don't get.

"Beware Kraftmaid-Crapmaid"
Garbage. Complete Garbage. Ordered Kraftmaid from Lowes thought I would support Made in USA. Delivered smashed cabinets--delivery guys tried to hide box holes. Installers actually stopped install, claimed they had never seen so much damage before. 5 upper cabinets completely garbage and need to be replaced. Rails for drawers broken. Scratches, gouges, warped doors all need replacing. Finally found out replacements were sent to Lowes store, but missing some items. Will be 7 weeks between original disaster of install and delivery of all replacements. Zero ZERO quality control. If this is the best that Kraftmaid can produce they deserve to be shut down.

"Kraftmaid cabinets poor quality"
Received cherry cabinets ordered from Lowes. All doors are damaged with scrathes or dents. The pantry and oven cabinet have broken corners and nail holes, all doors and drawers are damaged. Some of the doors and drawers are missing stain and varnish. Still waiting for kraftmaid rep to contact me. I have contacted Lowes and kraftmaid several times and keep being told a kraftmaid rep will contact me--still waiting. Bad quality and service. Beware of this product. What I received looks like someones damaged regects.

"Disaster"
While I am pleased with the basic kitchen cabinetry in terms of wood and finish I am totally dissatisfied with their quality control and customer service. Kraftmaid sent the wrong oven cabinet...twice. I finally gave up because of time constraints and installed the second cabinet they sent although it was not what I ordered. I had several drawers without front pieces, one cabinet without a door, pull out pantrys that operated improperly, insufficient molding, and a couple of drawers without the clips for securing the drawer to the rail system. After 5 months I am still trying to complete the project simply because I can't obtain the proper parts. Is this the level to which American craftsmanship has sunken to? I cannot in good conscience recommend Kraftmaid to anyone and suggest they save everyone a lot of trouble, simply close their business, and put an end to this continued embarrassment of the American worker. I might add that Lowes was not much better with much of their service. If my family functioned in the manner of these vendors in our workplace, malpractice suits would soon follow.

"My Wonderful Kitchen Cabinets"
I love my Kraftmaid cabinets. I like the look of them as well as the functionality. I have two glass cabinets that are just enough formal decoration for the kitchen. We were able to have the glass etched with beautiful calla lilies. The cabinets themselves are very attractive. They are in a maple finish. I have pull out drawers that are very convenient. I also have two supersusans that are real space savers. This was a concern when we were designing the kitchen 6 years ago. I also have a cabinet that has a recycle bin as well as a garbage bin. The drawers are dovetail style. These are not the top of the line cabinets. They were considered a "medium" upgrade. But for me, they have been great. I have had them for 6 years and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. We were so satisfied with this brand of cabinet that we chose them again when we remodeled two of our bathrooms last year. I can't praise these highly enough. They have been both decorative and practical for us. If I had another room to remodel, I would choose Kraftmaid!

"Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets are quality made middle priced cabinets."
I have Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets installed in my kitchen. I wasn't sure that I wanted to go with the extra expense of installing these mid-priced cabinets, but I am very content with my choice. I feel the slightly higher price was worth every cent. I have had other cabinets without half the satisfaction. I really like these cabinets. I enjoyed the fact that many things were customizable. We were able to select hardware, adjustable shelves, pull out drawers as well as the wood color of the cabinets and the style. These were the features we chose. However many other selections were available including pantry style, pull out organizers, etc.; the actual choices appear limitless. I have never had cabinets that I have enjoyed as much as these. These cabinets are not the cheapest, but neither are they the most expensive cabinets that on the market. These cabinets are a middle of the road priced kitchen utility; a necessity that is affordable, versatile and useful as well as enjoyable. On top of all this Kraftmaid stands behind their product.

We have had out kitchen and bath cabinets for about 3 years now. No issues, We paid for the upgrade to solid wood rather than the composite product and feel that it makes a difference on durability. The hardware (hinges, closers, runners etc.) have all held up well so far with no issues. We have recently moved and plan to add Kraftmaid cabinets in our new kitchen.

"Kraftmaid cabinets are wonderful."
I purchased these cabinet from Home Depot in 2010. I installed them myself. The quality of the cabinets was apparent from the time I opened the boxes to today. I like the way all the components fit together perfectly. The drawers open easily and extend fully so I can get at things way in the back. The cabinets are very sturdy and hold all my dishes and pots with no problems like sagging or bending. They are very heavy and solid. I ordered the cabinets with sliding shelves in the base cabinets and they make getting at stuff easy. I especially like that everything is made of solid wood and not plastic or fiberboard. The finish I chose was Autumn Blush. It is very good looking and in the year or so of owning them, has not stained or been damaged by water or other goop I spilled on them. I like it that all the hinges and drawer guides come with a lifetime warranty. I like the way the cabinets look with our dishes especially through the glass doors I ordered for the wall cabinets. Installing the cabinets was a challenge as I had never done it before. But after I installed a couple of cabinets it all made sense and by purchasing the correct clamps and other tools, it became easier. The fact that all the cabinets were very sturdy and did not flex when I was holding them up to screw them in made it a little easier for me and my helper. The only downside was that they were a little more expensive than I had figured but then, you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend Kraftmaid to friends and would buy it again myself.
