Review:
"Most frustrating controls I have ever experienced!"
We got this Crosley ZDM6502A5 Dishwasher because of the 3rd rack for flatware and the stainless steel interior. It would actually be a pretty decent dishwasher if it weren't for the touch controls. The first problem is their location on the top of the door. Just brushing past the dishwasher while loading or unloading or any other reason one needs to go past it, causes buttons on the controls to be bumped. If I have the door open and need to go to the other side to put away clean items, inevitably my leg brushes the controls on the door. They also are easily bumped with the door is nearly shut, just because they are on the top of the door. I think that the controls also are too sensitive, as the lightest touch/bump will set something I didn't want to set. Most often it is the time delay button. And then you have to push or hold down the button for the remaining 22 or 23 (of 24) times to get it back around to 0. At the very least, there should be a back button on that feature! But mainly the controls should be located where they aren't always being bumped, most likely on the front of the door would be better. When the controls are accidentally bumped it will set up things you don't know about, such as locking the control pad -- which the manual does not even mention, or tell how to fix that. After much trial and error we finally figured out that it was the child proof lock, and it's set and also unset by pushing certain two buttons simultaneously. The dishwasher works OK, and the filters are easy to remove, clean, and replace. However any food that dried onto a dish, or anything slimy/scummy (example: chocolate plant milk in a glass) does not come clean even in the strongest cycle. I might consider buying this brand again; but I hope to NEVER get another dishwasher with the controls on the top of the door!

"Racks rust after about two years"
Purchased this dishwasher approx two years ago cleans dishes only on heavy duty setting. The dishwasher that it replaced stopped cleaning as well as it did. It was 12 years old and an inexpensive model purchased at sears it had absolutely no rust and had same coated racks. Would rather buy a new unit instead of new racks for this one.

"Has served us very well"
I am a normal dishwasher user and this model has performed well for approximately 5 years. You do have to follow the manual to clean the filters periodically and I have had to turn the breaker off and back on at times to reboot it but all in all it has been a great appliance. I am also not a shill for the company. This site came up when I was searching for the manual so I thought I'd give my opinion.

"Worst Ever"
Bought this DW when we built our new House on the recommendation by the Sales person. It did not clean well, then after 5 mos, it leaked water all over our nice new Hardwood floor and will not work. Repair man came for warranty, but can not figure it out and can not get in touch with anyone at Crosley.

"Worst of the worst"
This dishwasher only works when the delay feature is on at 2h 20mn. then I starts right away. Right now it does not work at all since that delay feature is at 24.

"No warranty"
Got this appliance with my brand new house. Over the holiday the lens cover in the tub light fell out and cracked. The appliance shop can't get hold of anyone at Crosly. There is no on line manual listing part number. I'm sure I'll be washing dishes by hand for at least another month! Thanks! Worst dishwasher ever! I would never buy this brand again. They do not have a manual.

"Love it"
Just got mine this week. I had an amana. It was terrible. This one cleans the best and very quiet. It runs for an hour and a half but only used 5 to 7 gallons of water. Yes I do recommend.

"I like my Crosley"
I bought my dishwasher from a local merchant. It does a very good job of cleaning. I have always rinsed my dishes before inserting them into a dishwasher so no complaints about what an awful job it does not pre- rinsed. It does take 2 hours and a half to wash and dry as my old one took about an hour. I understand newer machines take longer. It has a 10 year guarantee so will be covered for as long as I live probable (I'm old). It is very quiet as my old one was not. The agent only sells Crosley products and I trust the merchant.

"Never buy an appliance from Crosley"
My brand new Crosley dishwasher failed miserably at cleaning anything. Glasses are cloudy and still have some pulp inside. The rims of plates are dirty and the bowls used to prepare food looked like they were never even rinsed clean. My previous dishwasher did a beautiful job of washing dirty dishes and glassware without rinsing them off before placing in the washer. They came out squeaky clean and spot free. This dishwasher is, by far, the worst dishwasher I have ever had the displeasure to use!

"Worst dishwasher I have ever had"
I did not have this dishwasher a week and already had issues with it. I could not get the place where I bought it, Ace TV & Appliance, to respond to my phone calls to come and look at it. I wrote to Crosley and they have never responded to my mailed letter and email and that was several years ago. Finally the seller responded and fixed it. Luckily, I have not had any other issues with it since. The dishwasher is supposed to be energy efficient but takes 4 hours to wash a "normal" load of dishes. When I asked the local seller about that, he had no explanation. I can't stress this enough: I hate this dishwasher.
