"Failure at 90f in brand new Artic Fox"
Frig temperature fails on hot 90+ days. Even on 60f nights it fails after adding 3 gallons of juice, even 10 hours later. Norcold is trying to duck out of the warranty. They think sending a new control board will fix the problem. But, the AC heater has burned out. Dealer says to play along, a repair failure could get replacement approval. After the AC heater failure, I shut it down due to fear of fire. IMHO: They care more about money than our safety. More than customer satisfaction.

"Norcold Customer Service"
Do not depend on Norcold Customer Service to be of any help. Wait times start at being at least 40th in the queue and after an hour of listening to their recording of their propaganda of innovation you may gain 1 or 2 positions in line. They truly do not care that your unit is out of service. The approved service centers warn you that Norcold will deny any warranty responsibility and be prepared to pay prior to having your recreational vehicle released.

"Poor quality"
I bought a Norcold NR740 refrigerator for my boat a little over 3 years ago. The purchase and installation were done through the boat company, total cost around $1,500. This is for an Electracraft electric boat on a lake. The boat is well maintained and always under cover. The fridge compressor broke after slightly longer than 3 years, despite little use. The company refused to stand by it. I would never but another Norcold product. Crappy.

"Do Not Waste Your Money on Norcold"
Your No cold product will fail under warranty! They will deny your claim and put you on hold for an hour! They will not sell you parts directly even if you know what you need. You will be totally screwed by Norcold / Thetford!

"Norcold/Nevercold"
I'm only posting due to my frustrations with our Norcold 2118. I'm in Arizona with my Keystone Alpine with a Norcold 2118. What a disgusting piece of work for an appliance. You would think after supplying the RV industry for years you would think they could figure this crap out. Temps are in the mid eighties and my fridge is at 54 and freezer at 25 on #8. Called tech and that was a waste of a hour on hold. My last unit cost me 1800.00 to convert to the JC Refridgeration conversion. It was money well spent and worked great. Waiting on tech next week to get this one done as well. Pisses me off that they can sell like this and not be held accountable.

"Crappy Refrigerator"
Besides having to defrost this POS weekly it will not freeze ice cream or likewise food. and barely freezes ice cubes, i have to mop the floor after every single opening the door. I hate it! I will never purchase another NORCOLD product and think twice of purchasing from West Marine!

"Wow, can't wait for complete failures to happen."
Brand new Grand Design Reflection with Norcold 1210 refrigerator that freezes eggs and vegetables in refrigerator, but ice in freezer takes 2 days to freeze relatively solid at setting of 5 out of 9. Guess I should consider myself lucky that it hasn't failed yet after 6 months and 3 weeks of camping use. Thank you to all of the other reviewers who at least prepare me for what looks like certain failure.

"Terrible Product! As the cooling unit in these refrigerators fails quite often. Stay away!"
I have had to have 2 cooling units replaced on this Norcold unit. In the past 18 months when the seconded unit sent from Norcold failed in less than 3 months and Norcold failed to honor the one year warranty, telling the authorized RV dealership that Only if one of Norcold techs remotel support could make the call on a failed cooling unit. The RV dealership that diagnosed the problem said that they would not install a new cooling unit if one was sent to them, which Norcold never did! They stated that the Norcold cooling units were Junk and they in good faith to their customers would not put inferior junkers all of in a customers RV. The way to update a failed Norcold cooling unit is to purchase a Amish Built cooling unit that is far superior. The Amish cooling unit is great!

"Very poor customer service from Norcold"
In September of 2019 I ordered a brand new high-end Norcold refrigerator. They said it was a 10-day delivery it took three weeks. I received the refrigerator and since day one it cannot keep even an the average temperature that's within range of a refrigerator compartment. Norcold has it been "0" help. Now I'm stuck with a garbage frigerator and the manufacturer is absolutely bottom of the pile. Take my advice put in a residential refrigerator don't waste your money on a Norcold. I wish I still had my Dometic. My frigerator ranges from 32 to 52 and the freezer compartment can be anywhere within 30 degrees to 10 degrees of what the refrigerator is. Norcold is lying and saying that my repairman isn't doing what he supposed to do and I have seen him on the phone with them I've seen the email he has sent them. they've said they've sent me emails and they have not. I have received one the first time I called. Very poor customer service.

"Norcold sales bad products!"
Bought a New Coachman trailer 2020. Had it for 5 months and the Norcold refrigerator cooling system leaked and when out. Cooking everything in the freezer. Norcold will only replace the cooling system. Freeze smells like dead body is in it. they will not replace refrigerator! They said it may be caused from power outage! Not a power outage. The cooling system failed. They do not stand behind the products they sale. Bad refrigerators! Do not buy a trailer with a norcold refrigerator.

"Norcold RV 1210 Refrigerator is Junk"
We purchased a new Lifestyle in 2013. The Norcold 1210 refrigerator failed in the first months. It ruined hundreds of dollars of food and meat. The Norcold rep came to our house and tested it. He said they would replace it because they would never get the smell out. Refrigerator number two lasted until just after the warranty ran out. It would run when it felt like it but we couldn't depend on it. We purchased number three as we were going on a two month trip and didn't want to have it fail. Well we were out for 6 weeks and the 7 month old refrigerator failed. We had to purchase ice and coolers to keep what wasn't ruined, cold. We called and were told that we would have to take it to a Norcold dealer. We were on a schedule and couldn't just drop everything and wait days or a week for them to figure it out, then wait for whatever replacement it needed. I will never purchase another Norcold refrigerator again.

"Door in hand"
We've used the NEW RV for the 5 times for a total 26 days and as we open the Norcold fridge the door slipped and started to fall. The hinge had fractured. Plastic?? on the bottom part of the door. The door is designed to hold food or can of soda or condiments but my opinion the door isn't designed to hold weight if the hinge can't sustain the weight of butter. We sent pictures to the RV dealer to show there are no scratches, dents dings or any damage on our part for this hinge to break. RV is barely a year old, under warranty except for the fridge door and we have to replace the door out of pocket Not happy. If you buy an RV, do not get a NORCOLD and check out the hinges

"RV fridger freezer - In a KZ sportmen"
Fridge freezer stopped working the 2nd season I was on the road. The run time of the fridge/freezer was likely no more than a month. (Rest was in storage) No response from Norcold, dealer said cannot be fixed must be replaced at a cost of $2,500. The type of equipment should last a lot longer - I would avoid this make.

"Terrible refrigerator"
I have a 2017 Heartland Bighorn fifth wheel which is eighteen months old. Fridge developed leak in cooling unit where they crimped the quarter inch tube on the expansion tank which is clearly a workmanship issue. Contacted Norcold and they will not cover it. You would expect a $4000.00 fridge would last a little longer. Only used it about 7 times.

"Owner of a new Grand Design 5th wheel"
On our first trip out after retirement in our new camper with a Norcold frig it stopped working. What a run around by the company. We were forced to go to a dealer twice and they both said there was a recall but they were not allowed to carry the part on hand. The part could not be delivered by next day delivery but only by mail being seven days. Both Dealerships told us that this was a huge problem and the company was a pain in the back side to deal with. We lost several hundred dollars worth of food, bought a lot of ice trying to save what we could and were put through stress we should not have to have endured. Our dealership that we bought the camper from is trying to let the factories know they do not want Norcold frig's put into the campers they sell Grand Design. I suggest that you look hard at the camper you purchase and make sure it does not have a Norcold Frig.
