"Do not purchase"
My wife and I purchased a new Frigidaire/ Electrolux refrigerator. Model#FG4H2272UF and the Lowe's Protection plan in late May 2021. It was delivered the first week in June 2021. Almost right away we found that the fruits, vegetables, milk, eggs, etc was being frozen in the refrigerator at random times and locations. It seems it would work correctly about 2 weeks, then we would find food items with frozen ice chips attached. I contacted Lowe's Service advantage to set up a service call. Two different contracted companies came out a total of 4 times over a course of around 7 months to make the repair. COVID was the excuse for the long delays. The circuit board, power supply and thermostat sensors were allegedly replaced, but the problem was not fixed. Calling Frigidaire was a complete wast of time as they are rude and completely unhelpful with their "I do not care attitude". Frigidaire did not want to address this problem because it fell under the 1 year warranty and they wanted Lowe's service advantage to deal with it. After about 6 months I was finally able to get a return authorization for the Frigidaire. We purchased a different brand, paid about $600.00 more for the difference and Lowe's came and picked up the Frigidaire. I filed a claim with Lowe's Service advange for food spoilage that we lost. The max amount for food spoilage is capped at $300.00. Because we shop at Costco, we lost over $700.00 in food over the course of all the months it was freezing our food. I submitted the claim form, along with the food receipts, photos and the service calls. Lowe's Service advange never paid for my claim. I cannot count how many times I called 1-888-77LOWES to inquire about my claim. It takes forever to talk to someone, then they give you the run around. The person who answers the phone is not in the claim dept. You can only contact them by email and they never responded to me. I emailed my claim 5 different times, because I was told that I was still missing something. Lowe's made it extremely difficult to file a food spoilage claim. It is clear to me they just did not want to pay. I called Lowe's Corporate in NC and he told me I would have to call 1-888-77LOWES and address my concerns to them. The employees at the store are mostly friendly and will try to help, but a lot of times there hands are tied and unfortunately you have to deal with a dept somewhere else. It is clear to me that Lowe's customer care really does not care, they only want your money and that is all. We will never buy anything made by Frigidaire or from Lowe's ever again. All I can say is look at the reviews and buyer beware.

"The Filters Are Vastly Overpriced"
I love this refrigerator. The compartments and shelves are arranged so I can get much more food in it, than my former fridge, which had more cubic feet. It looks good, with its counter depth design. HOWEVER, I am incensed at that cost of the filters. I was charged $32.90 plus $11 for mailing and $3.37 for tax for ONE AIR FILTER- PAULTRA 2. Home depot sells them for $9.21 and for less if I buy 6 then they cost less than $6.00 for 1 filter. I am supposed to change the filter 2 X a year. That would be $64.00 a year, and for the 10 years of owning the fridge it would cost me $640.00 plus mailing and tax, and without inflation added cost. This makes the cost of the fridge much higher than advertised. Please note this. It is not ok. SH

"Lousy design & no customer service"
$3000+ Frig/freezer and the door stop design doesn't work. As a mech. engineer I can see the design is flawed. Customer service is a joke, they won't send a repair person to look at it and said, I have an option of buying a different brand, or live with the doors getting damaged by hitting the countertops when fully swung open. It's not a warranty issue rather a crap design, the stops will never hold they just slide to the 180 degree position. The only option I have is to pull out the adjustable stops and have the slot "welded up to the position I want to set them at. Right now I have to have the front pulled 7" away from the counter to avoid denting the doors on an accidental full opening. Stubbed my foot twice and had a guest do the same. Thanks for no assistance Frigidaire, you are impossible to deal with. Sorry I bought the dishwasher and double ovens as well.

"Side by side"
The ice maker is the problem. We have it set for cube, and ice comes out cube & crushed. When dispensing a wide mouth container is required and it must be held up as high as possible or you will end up with ice pieces all over the floor. Noisy - yes. It is noisy when dispensing, when emptying ice into bin and when refilling with water - easily heard from anywhere in the house. Just for these reasons, I would not buy this brand again.

"Horrible Nightmare"
1. It is not counter depth-just the cabinet is. Add 3.5" for the door, add 2.5" for the handle and add 6" rear clearance so a component doesn't overheat = one foot past the counter. Deceptive advertising! 2. From receipt 'til now 6 months later, nothing but component failures. The tech ordered parts but Frigidaire sent the wrong ones. Telephone contact with any part of Electrolux/Frigidaire is a frustrating nightmare. 3. Some of the door compartments don't work well. The snack drawer at the bottom is stupid and holds nothing, and you can't retrieve by opening just one door. 4. Fingerprint proof finish, isn't. 5. Just awful. I hate this thing.

"Never Worked Right From First Day"
Piece of crap. Completely. When I first got it, it would freeze everything, or melt everything, no in between. Then it decided it liked melting everything better, and never got cold again. Lowe's did zero to help. Will never buy this brand again.

"Terrible Refrigerator and terrible customer service"
Very disappointed with this brand and company. Refrigerator was purchased Nearly a year ago. After about 3 months, the unit malfunctioned and I lost all my groceries. With a warranty on parts and service, I contacted Frigidaire and had the unit serviced. The technician couldn't guarantee a fix, but thought it might be a slow leak in the Evaporator. 6 months later, I have the same problem and my refrigerator/freezer has stopped working again. I contacted Frigidaire again. They sent another technician out, but this time the technician was sent to an address in another state. After solving that problem, the next technician came out and said that I need a new "sealed system". I had to follow up with Frigidaire yet again. I explained my situation and was led to believe that the next technician would come back to actually fix the sealed system. I waited 2 more days without a refrigerator (almost a week now, and during the Coronavirus outbreak). The technician arrived without the parts and had to diagnose the situation since his company wasn't involved with the previous process? Why wouldn't Frigidaire explain the ticket so he was prepared?. I was now told that he would need to order the parts and it would take 7-10 business days to get these parts before rescheduling another service. This refrigerator is a brand new model that is less than a year old. The refrigerator has been a lemon since I first owned it, yet Frigidaire is unwilling to make this right and ensure that I have a working appliance. Furthermore, the customer service could care less about my situation. Stay away.

"Runs good"
Purchased from Lowe’s about a week ago. So far it is very good. Temp for refrigerator is set at 38 and temp checked with laser thermometer is 39. Ice maker had made to capacity in 48 hours and had was keeping up with our demands here in Florida. Happy so far. Price of filters in line with others. We had LG and theirs were $50. Can be purchased on amazon for lots less. Only 2 items I would change. First, when getting into left crisper, it hits the flapper so need to open right door. Second, need to change color of display panel because it is difficult to see where to push for cubes or crushed.

"Cost of Water Filter"
Ignoring other issues, watch out for the cost of the water filters. Currently (mid 2019) they cost about $50 apiece and last "up to" 6 months. DO the math - if you replace the filters religiously, you'll very likely pay more for the filters than the refrigerator. I asked a supplier why there were no 3rd party replacement model EPTWFU01 water filters cartridges; they said Frigidaire has patented them and they can't legally be copied. Buyer beware.

"Alarms for it getting too cold but not too hot"
We were unaware our 2yrs old frig was heating up...until bacteria was growing on the food...then retooling. Until we got Salmonella. We almost died. And I have a compromised immune system from Lupus. I could have died from the Salmonella or complications. Idiot thing has alarms for it getting too cold but not too hot! You would never have known until you got sick, caught it, or it completely quit. We had insulin in there. We know know that is why our baby girl Boston Terrier died. Her insulin got hot! She had zero issues for 4 yrs. until we got this frig! Had this happened over the holidays.... I could have killed my whole family! Frigidaire's response? So? What should they do? Get I out of your house! Never buy one! You and your family's life may depend on it!

"Refrigerator from Hell"
Purchased Frigidaire Gallery Model fghs2631pf. The ice maker drops ice on the floor almost every time you get ice. We have tried many different ways to get ice to prevent this from happening with poor results. The worst part is how noisy this fridge is. It makes sounds I can hear in the bedroom, Watching tv is challenging when the fridge comes on. It is unbelievable the sounds this thing makes. How they can take something that has been around as long as a fridge and make it worst is beyond me. Buy someone else brand if you want a quiet home.

"Damage."
I Purchased a new Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator from Pacific Sales on Sept-21-2015. It was delivered on Sept-24. I noticed the chill drawer was misaligned, and did not line up with the other drawers. I called Frigidaire. They sent out a new drawer, frame, and glass. When they arrived the drawer, and the frame were both broken. I called back, and they sent the items again. Although the drawer was not included. I called back again. They decided to send a technician to look at it. A few days later a technician came out, and aligned the drawer. It wasn't until the next day when I went to get something out of the drawer, I noticed the glass didn't fit right (wobbled, and did not lay flat),and their was a crack in the inner liner next to the chill drawer. I called Frigidaire again. I was told they would replace my refrigerator. They would have to send out another technician from a different appliance company to verify the crack. I received a call from Alpha Omega appliance, and set an appointment. They would be out between 8:am, and noon. After waiting for three hours I got a call from the technician. He wanted me to take a picture of the model#, and crack. Then e-mail it to him. I told him I could have done that in the first place instead of waiting for three hours. He said he didn't like my attitude, and to find another technician. I called Frigidaire again, and asked to speak with a supervisor. I was told the supervisors were in a meeting, and would call back in an hour. Three hours later I still hadn't heard from them. I called back again. The customer service agent I spoke with refused to let me speak to a supervisor. He insisted on handling the problem himself. He said the technician has the right to refuse service if he feels like he is entering into a hostile situation. He informed me that their is a patch kit available, and that is how he intends to resolve this issue rather than replace my refrigerator. He assured me that the patch would be seamless, and I wouldn't even notice it. They sent out another technician from a different appliance co. He realigned the drawer again, and now the glass fit correctly. He also called them, and described the crack. He was told to order the repair kit. As it turned out the repair kit was on back order, so it took a couple of weeks before he returned. He did come back, and install the patch. It looks like a white piece of vinyl tape, and is very visible. I called Frigidaire back again, and this time after I insisted I was able to speak with a supervisor. Her answer for everything was; This is what our service technician recommended". She was referring to their company service technician, and not the technician that installed the patch. I offered her this scenario, if I scratched your black car, and repaired it by putting a piece of black electrical tape over the scratch would you be satisfied? She said no. I replied then why should I? She said "this is what our service technician recommended". I have made 10+ phone calls to these people, and have probably logged in at least two hours of hold time. It boggles the mind how a company like this can stay in business.

"Icemaker Disaster"
Purchased a fridge just over a year ago. Icemaker stopped working so I called the about the warranty to get fixed. It took about a month for someone to finally get the issue correct just to send someone to my home and check it. The guy was here about 10 minutes stating the motor burned out and needed to order part from manufacturer, therefore it would take about 5-10 days which includes time to have part delivered and come out to fix. That was about 1 month ago. I've called 2 weeks later and the lady said they received a box but had not opened it but she was certain our part was there and would call back to schedule appointment. I called a week after and they then tell me the box did not contain the part I needed and they just ordered it so it would take 3-5 days to get to them and as soon as they got it they would call back with an appointment. So here we are since end of July 2015 trying to get the stupid icemaker fixed. The person I spoke with was very rude and unapologetic. Never going through them again.

"No customer care"
I removed the plastic grill at the bottom of the fridge to vacuum as specified in the manual. It is impossible to get the grill back in place. Called Frigidaire to get some "help," was given another number to call, got a rep who told me it slides on there and that is all she knows. Told her I had tried everything, wanted to talk to someone who knew how to get it back on there and she hung up on me. That told me all I need to know about Frigidaire. Will never buy another of their products.

"Piece of corporate greed junk! Frigidaire should be embarrassed."
What a piece of junk! My 14 year old refrigerator had a bearing in the compressor that was going bad, so before it quit entirely I purchased a new replacement, same brand, size and model. The new one had such a loud electrical hum that I couldn't stand to be in the same house as it. I got it replaced for free and the second one is only slightly better and the cabinet workmanship is terrible. I am seriously considering having my old one repaired and getting my money back on the new one. I will never buy nor recommend another Frigidaire appliance. Save yourself the aggravation and buy a different brand.

"Worst Fridge Ever"
I bought a Frigidaire Gallery Fridge in 2012 and one year and one month the entire circuit board went out on it and of course it was one month past warranty. Now only 3 years old and the compressor is going out on it. And all they have to offer for the 500-600.00 repair is I can buy an extended warranty. For 301.00. I said no thanks I'm not putting another dime into it.

Bought this unit 4 months ago and broken already. Customer support line very pleasant but cannot get anyone to work on unit. Had to pay myself as Frigidaire does not pay techs enough to make u a priority. Bad company unit not cooling at all they may give me $25 for food loss. If I spend 2 weeks on the phone to get it hoping to get full credit and bring unit to the recycling yard. Do not buy Frigidaire very unhappy.

"Worst fridge I've ever owned!"
I purchased this fridge from Lowes in May, and now as of October the bottom drawer freezer is broken, and the control panel and fan have all been replaced. This was already a replacement fridge for a Samsung model that I purchased off of the scratch and dent isle in Lowes. I can't believe how much this item coat compared to how terrible it was made. The guy they sent to replace the control panel today said he would order a bottom freezer drawer but it would take aprox 3-6 months to get a new one in bc that's how the company works. I will never purchase another product from Frigidaire again! Seems like it would b replaced if broken within 6 months. What about a lemon law?
