Magic Chef Stoves, Ovens and Ranges

The Magic Chef brand, currently only available in small kitchen appliances such as microwave ovens, cookware, and wine coolers, is distributed by the MC Appliance Company. For ovens, stoves, and ranges most similar to former Magic Chef models, the company directs consumers to look at Estate appliances. Both Estate and Magic Chef are owned by Maytag.

History of Magic Chef

The Magic Chef brand was first introduced by the American Stove Company in 1929. The American Stove Company had its roots in a house wares and appliance shop started by John Ringen and Geore Kahle in 1870. Because of the tremendous popularity of the Magic Chef brand, the company changed its name to Magic Chef, Inc. in 1951. After a merger in 1957 and an acquisition in 1958, the company became part of Maytag in 1986, which was subsequently bought by Whirlpool in 2006.

Parts and Repair

Parts for Magic Chef appliances are available through the company and can also be found through any major kitchen appliance parts dealer, either locally or online. To locate a Magic Chef service center, either during or after a warranty's coverage is active, visit the company's website. Service to Magic Chef appliances can also be obtained locally through a certified service provider.

Warranty

Most Magic Chef appliances come with a limited one-year warranty that covers repairs and parts needed due to defects in manufacturing or materials.
