"Emerson 8-Bottle Wine Cooler Review"
I have had the Emerson 8 bottle wine cooler for 5 months now and I am really enjoying it. What I like about this wine cooler is that it has a digital thermostat that is easily adjustable to the temperature I like to keep my wine at. It also has a really smooth looking LED light which adds a nice ambiance to the cooler. My wine is always cool and at the perfect temperature with this cooler. One dislike that I have is that when the bottles get condensation on them the water pools up at the bottom of the cooler and it has to be manually cleaned. Over the 5 months that I have owned this cooler I have never had to have it repaired, it has been very reliable as I run it 24/7. I would definitely buy from this same brand again and would also recommend it to everyone. I would give this product a 9 out of 10.

Review:
"You get what you pay for."
My general impression of the Emerson brand is favorable, so when their 8-bottle wine refrigerator was listed on Amazon as an option I was more than willing to consider it. I move frequently and was not looking for a particularly large unit and my previous experience with wine refrigerators is that they did not last long. As a result, I was not looking to spend more than $100 for this unit. With total costs coming in at $81, I was comfortable taking a chance on a product that had mixed reviews. The aesthetics of the unit are quite nice but minimal for certain. It did not take up a lot of counter-space which is valuable real estate. Since I planned on having a mixture of reds, whites and champagnes in the unit, I set it on 54 to give me a good starting temperature. From there, I would use an individual chiller to get the bottle to the appropriate temperature before serving. I have had this unit for 18 months and while it still functions, it only took a few months before its ability to chill the bottles seriously deteriorated. On a good day, I can keep the unit around 62 but if the room temperature pushes above 80, the unit struggles to keep up. I have recognized that this is not a true refrigeration unit - it relies on a cooling fan to achieve its lower temperatures and as a result simply lacks the design structure to thoroughly chill its contents. It is this design that permits an $81 price tag, so my lesson learned is that if you want a reliable, consistent wine chilling experience, you simply have to spend the money.
