"Nothing but problems"
This Side by Side Model #FGU5242LF2 refrigerator is approximately 2 1/2 years old and we have had nothing but problems with it. It could not dispense the ice correctly, it kept freezing up, the drain kept getting clogged and it would leak out the bottom, the freezer door seal wouldn't seal properly and black mold was and still forms around it. After this, we will never purchase another refrigerator with a Frigidaire name on it! Good by and good riddance. Nothing but trouble from day one!

"Cooling unit"
Worst appliances we have ever bought! After multiple attempts to contact Frigidaire, we are done with this refrigerator. The cooling unit has gone out twice within 3 months and we have used this refrigerator for only 2 years! Frigidaire customer service is terrible! Very sad to know you spent thousands of dollars on appliances not to have them last.

Bought this refrigerator from Pacific Sales on February 3, 2010. It stopped cooling last November 19, 2012, not even 3 years old. I even bought an extended warranty which expires on February 4, 2015. I'm having problems with the Pacific Sales store, the nsi Warranty Unit and the Service Repair Center because until now, the refrigerator has not been fixed yet. Called the Frigidaire company and I was told they cannot do anything because I did not buy the Extended Warranty from Frigidaire company.

"Frigidaire Review"
I really enjoy this fridge. It is much bigger than the one we had in our old apartment. It is very spacious and I love the layout of the inside features. The crispers are clear so that you can see what is inside and you have plenty of room for produce which is essential for us. Another feature that I really like is the size and shape of the shelving in the fridge and freezer doors. Finally I have space to put my milk and other items without taking up tons of room on the inside of the shelves! The freezer is nice and deep so that you can fit plenty of items and the rack helps so that you don't have to dig through piles to find your items. I love it!

"Don't waste your $$"
We purchased in June, 2009 at Lowes. a few days after purchase icicles started to form in the freezer section. Lowes sent out the repair guy and he put on a new door gasket. A few days later the icicles were back. This time the repair guy caulked around the new door gasket on the outside, so it looked like you know what! Icicles came back. I was afraid of what the repairman might do next, so I told Lowes to take it back. They gave me a choice in that price range and we took a Whirlpool side by side. Great !! I probably got a 'ringer' with the Frigidaire, but what a horrible experience it was. Never again for me.

"Frigidaire refrigerator review:"
I've had this refrigerator for three years but I moved in to this house that has been here with the appliances before; so I think it may be about 6 years old. It has worked well for me thus far, and it is easy to clean. I like allotment of space it has for the refrigerator section; but I detest the freezer half of the fridge. It does not have good allotment and space for someone like me who cook in bulk and need freezer storage space for large items. I have to portion my food in smaller portions just to get it all to fit. Maybe this would be a good freezer size for people who don't cook often. Nevertheless, the freezer has worked well and I have never had to fix anything with it. I would search for a larger refrigerator for myself of the same brand or even a different one; but I would have to pay more to get that luxury. With this, you sort of get what you pay for, so I would not recommend to a friend.

"My New Fridgidaire Is Even Bigger Than I Expected"
I woke up one morning to find that my refrigerator that I had owned for the past fifteen years had stopped working. I checked it out as best as I could and did not notice anything wrong. It was decision time. Should I go to the expense of having a repairman come out to try to fix an appliance that was getting old or should I just go out and buy a new one. I decided to buy the new one. The problem was we needed to replace it quickly, and I was not going to be able to do a whole lot of research. I was able to go to a couple of stores and found that I would only have a few to choose from that would fit my budget and the basic needs that I knew I wanted. I decided on a Frigidaire side by side model that had 26.0 cu. ft. of space inside it. One of the main things I wanted was an ice and water dispenser in the door and this one had it. It also was the same size as my old fridge, so I knew that it would be okay. I also knew that it would be able to fit in my kitchen. The surprising part was when I got the new fridge filled up; it seemed that I had more space than before. Because of the layout of the inside of the fridge, it was roomier. This has been a bonus that we did not expect. Everything else has worked great for the first month. The ice maker keeps up easily and the dispenser works very well also. Getting a black color means that it does not show the dirt that my white one use to. The only problem we had was it took 2 days before it was cooling everything like it should. Other than that I would recommend this model to anyone who wants a solid fridge.

"Our Frigidaire refrigerator was a good value"
We bought a Frigidaire FRT21IL6JM refrigerator just over a year ago. This is a fairly basic freezer on top model that was available through Lowes. Having moved to a house with no appliances we needed to purchase not only a refrigerator but all of the kitchen appliances on a strict budget. We wanted to have a stainless steel look for our kitchen appliances and were surprised by how expensive many of them were. We were attracted to the Frigidaire models because there was a good selection available in a stainless steel finish and at much more reasonable prices. The finish was also offered in a variety of sizes, of which we chose the 20.6 cubic foot model. We've been pretty happy with our purchase. It keeps our food at the right temperatures, is energy efficient and has a lot of handy storage areas. The fact that this isn't actual stainless steel has turned out to be a blessing too because we don't have to worry about finger marks as with real stainless steel; the surface is very easy to keep clean. We would have preferred a model with more options but for the price we consider this refrigerator a good deal and a good purchase.

"Mostly good, but flawed."
I have owned my Frigidaire refrigerator since I moved into my current house in April of 2008. Overall it has been great, but not perfect. What I do like about it is that it is spacious, the shelves and drawers inside seem fairly sturdy, and the main unit has never broken down. It is, however, not flawless. What I do not like about it is that the ice maker seems to have major reliability issues. Within less than a year of purchase the ice maker ceased to function and I got it repaired, not such a big deal really. Fortunately the repair was done under warranty and was performed quickly. But after already being repaired once it broke down again just a couple of months later. Since then I have just chosen to not bother with it and leave it as is. I would be willing to buy the same brand again given that it doesn't seem my issue is overly common. Overall the unit seems nice, sturdy, and reliable, save for the above mentioned issues with the ice maker.

"Great Refrigirator"
I have owned this refrigerator for a little over a year now. The frig looks great and stands out. I get a lot of complements about it. The storage is great and the water filter works very well. I can tell a huge difference int he water that comes from the sink and the water that comes from the drink dispenser. It surprised me how clean and crisp it tastes. One down side would be the finger prints but that comes with stainless steel. All my appliances are Frigidaire and love how they look and work. I am very satisfied with their products. I have never had any issues with this refrigerator and I am very please and would recommend Frigidaire to anyone that wants a good quality refrigerator for a good price.

"A so-so refrigerator"
I have owned my refrigerator for roughly 4 years. For the first month and a half, my refrigerator ran smoothly with no problems whatsoever. After six weeks of owning this refrigerator, I started becoming discomforted by it. what I mean by that is the sound it made. I know these things are run by fans, and will make noise but this is unbelievable! Roughly every hour or so, the motor will turn on and it will wake me up from my sleep. It can get kind of annoying, so I called a repair man to come check it out. He said that my fan was hitting metal and that is what caused it to make that sound. After 2 weeks and a few hundred dollars, my refrigerator was running smoothly and quietly again. That comfort was short-lived. About 3 months after the initial repair, It started acting up again. Not as bad as the first time but still pretty noisy. Called the same repair man again and came out to fix it again, and paid another couple hundred bucks. After that I have not had a problem with functionality. I don't think that I would recommend this brand to other consumers. If I pay a good price for a good product, I expect it to run smoothly, not get it fixed twice before it starts working like it should in the first place. My first instinct was to buy a Samsung. They are a little more pleasing to the eye, waste less energy, and I have not read many bad reviews of Samsung refrigerators. Now I am stuck with this Frigidaire model because I can not afford to buy another one.

"Great refrigerator for the money"
I bought my refrigerator 4 years ago and have never had any problems. The most I have had to do is change the water filter and it is very reasonably priced. It is my first side by side with water and ice in the door and I love it. It is convenient and trustworthy. The vegetable and fruit containers have adjustable knobs to control the humidity, it keeps vegetables twice as fresh as my old refrigerator. The freezer has many shelves and even shelves on the door that are perfect for my 5 year olds popsicles. It has glass shelves which make clean up a breeze. It even has a door shelf that fits perfectly 2 gallons of milk. My only complaint is that I wished it had more shelves on the door ( there is room for more but only 2 are included). I would buy the same brand again but would probably get the next size up. Frigidaire has definitely gained a new customer in me.

"Refrigerator works well for our home"
I've owned this fridge for about 6 months. We bought the fridge to accommodate our smaller apartment. It's a good fridge and the freezer works really well. It has an ice machine in the freezer but it has stopped working. We haven't repaired it because it's not that big of an inconvenience for our home. We've just come back to using ice trays. One con about the fridge is how it holds smells. We've bought two baking soda packages but the smell just stays...so we're sure to wrap everything. Magnets hold on to the fridge very well so it's great to display your kid's artwork. This is the first time I'm living on my own and the low-maintenance of this refrigerator is great. I really never have to worry about it. I will definitely be buying this brand again. The best thing about Frigidaire is its life span. Great to buy brand new or second-hand.

This refrigerator does quite a serviceable job. It is not by any means a great refrigerator but it is perfect for a family's first. This is the refrigerator that my wife and I bought after our wedding and it has done the job for over two years now. The only problem would be that the freezer is quite small.

"A Great Product"
I absolutely love this refrigerator. I purchased for my first apartment when I started college. The one that was in there was broken down and disgusting so I decided to purchase a new one. I have owned it for 2 years and never ever had a problem with it. It has been moved three times and never missed a beat. The shelves are strong and sturdy. They have held up under some very heavy loads. My favorite thing about it though is that cleaning this thing is a breeze. All the shelves come out and wipe down easily. The only complaint I have for this refrigerator is that there is no light in the freezer. But then again most freezers don't have lights, so it's not much of a complaint. I know my next refrigerator I purchase will be from Frigidaire. I would highly recommend anyone in the market for a sturdy, easy to clean refrigerator look at buying one of these.

"I love my full refrigerator!"
I own a full sized Whirlpool fridge. By full sized I mean the entire thing is a refrigerator. I have a seperate standing chest freezer. I bought an older model house with a tiny space for a fridge. None of the units today fit the space except for one model that was $3000! I've only owned it for about 6 months but I could not be happier with it. It does an exceptional job in cooling and has both shelves and drawers. I love that I never run out of space to put my groceries!!!

"The Dual Freezer"
I have owned my Frigidaire for over 6 years. It is a serviceable refrigerator and serves its purpose at a base level. The crisper works fine and sodas stay ice cold. The freezer freezes ice quickly, but doesn't over freeze meats or microwave meals. It does, however, have some glaring problems. The refrigerator half is too cold. I have turned the setting down, waiting the 24 hours in between adjustments, as recommended. Still, it freezes things left on the top shelf. The worst is what it does to vegetables. It ices them over and when you dry them out they are left shriveled and unappealing. I have never called it in for a repair. Perhaps there would be something they could do to fix the temperature, but my warranty has long expired. It was a cheap refrigerator and it was all I could afford. Seeing as I am still poor, I would probably buy another, though I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to my friends.

"My refridgerator and its quality"
I have had this refrigerator for about eight years. It has the sideways opening doors with the water, crushed ice, and ice cube dispenser on the freezer side. I really like the look of these newer model refrigerators, and in a modern home, one of the freezer-on-top models might look old fashioned. However, besides the looks this refrigerator was not the best in its class at all. The freezer is extremely small and you're in for some rearranging any time you need to put something like a turkey or ham in the inside. The shelves are weak and have fallen on the inside of the refrigerator side door many times. They were easy to just pop back in place but this happening after only about four years was alarming. I would buy the same brand if I got a much bigger model that had more room. It's a hassle to put groceries away in this refrigerator.

"Frigidaire FFHS2611LS - It Works"
I bought this fridge on a whim one day, which was very unlike me. But, the price and its stainless steel exterior swayed my decision quite a bit. The refrigerator was originally marked at $1200, but was at the time parked down to $859. The sales information boasted that it was super cold and spacious (26 cubic feet). And with that, I was sold. After some issue with the delivery of the fridge, I finally got it installed. Well, mostly. I was surprised to find out that it needed a special hookup for the automatic water and ice. While not a deal breaking problem, it was a painful experience, as I had to transfer food over before it spoiled. That aside, my only issue I've had is the fact that it is a side by side. So basically, take 26 cubic feet, and quite literally cut it in half… I do not know about any other family out there, but I know for a fact that I use my ice box far less than the warmer counterpart, so this lack of space kind of intrudes on my Tetris like stacking. Both compartments stay cold, and the water filtered through tastes delicious and is simple to replace. All in all, it does work for what I need it to, and my only real need issue one on my part, not so much the box itself.
