"2002 Ropers from Lowe's"
I bought this fridge at Lowe's upon buying a new house. When I moved out in 2014 it was in perfect condition. I moved to an apartment with a GE fridge that is really poorly built. It is about the same age as mine was when I moved from my house, but the plastic parts parts inside and the sealing began breaking and deteriorating not long after I moved in. I hate it and wish I still had my old Roper. In the 1970's I moved into the Waldorf apartments on Venice Beach, built as a hotel in the early 1900's. It add this big kitchen with an solutely awesome double oven Roper gas stove with a griddle and 4 burners on top. Many times I have yearned to have that stove back in my life. Unless they have gone downhill since I bought my fridge, I think they are awesome products. They were already a part of Whirlpool then.

"21years"
We purchased are side by side Roper 22 years ago. It has Been from Nevada to N. Carolina and back. 22 years old and still working. It is on its last leg but has never let us down or needed repair. Great job Roper ( Whirlpool ). It’s definitely paid for itself 3 times over. It is time to retire it so we purchased another side by side.

"Top freezer"
I moved into a previously rented house that I now own. A used Roper refrigerator came with it. I didn't know the history of it, but I cleaned it up and boy was I surprised! It was manufactured in May 2006. Now it's October 2019, and the refrigerator still works great! Temperature control is very steady; no frozen produce or melted ice cream, and it's been almost a year since I claimed it as my own. The inside parts are all still working; no broken crisper drawers present. If or when I replace it, I'm going to get a Roper.

This fridge is just as good today as the day we got it 1993 the ice maker finally stopped a year ago but it outlasted many of other. We had family friend's that are on there 3rd fridge. You want quality built get you a roper. Save money not replacing yours. Thanks roper 25 years and still going.

"Door rusting"
We purchased our Roper refrigerator in 2008. Rust started appearing on the doors in 2016. The rust is getting progressively worse. After contacting the company we were told that they had not received any other complaints and there was nothing they could do. After reading other reviews on this site, this seems to be a common problem. We will not be purchasing another Roper appliance in the future, we are very disappointed in this product and the customer service.

"Rust on doors"
Purchased a roper fridge in late 2006, now it is 2017 and the fridge still runs great! Only problem is cosmetics... The outside of the freezer and refrigerator doors have rust coming through the vinyl and looks terrible. Nothing the company can or will do as it is cosmetic, but I find it odd as it has been inside a climate controlled building since the day it was purchased, I see no reason it should be rusting? Only recourse is to repaint doors ourselves.

"Solid"
We have had this fridge for 16 trouble free years. In the last year the outsides of the doors have begun to rust and some of the interior plastic has started to crack. Do not have any ideas why, but the machine itself still works just fine. If we can find another new one we will buy it. The Roper products we have all do what they are supposed to do and do it well. They are solid, basic machines.

"Review of my Roper Fridge"
I purchased this refrigerator as it had the look of stainless steel without the high price of the stainless steel. The problem I had is the saleperson along with many others said I don't need to waste the money on the warrenty as they are a great product and refrigerators last forever. Needless to say my frige is less than 4 years old and the compressor went out and the cost to fix it is as much as a new frige. The customer service dept. was very rude and unhelpful.

"Review Of roper Refridgerator"
This Fridge is great. We didn't buy it but it was provided to us in our apartment when we moved in. I was skeptical because it wasn't a big name brand that I knew but it works great. It has always been reliable and efficient. It doesn't make any noise and it is always cold. We have had it for a few years and it has never failed or had any problems worth worrying about. The seals are still in tact and none of the paint has chipped off. All of my food stays fresh and cool. The size is perfect for a medium sized family and it fits in the kitchen nicely. The freezer compartment is quite nice also as it fits a lot of meat and bread and ice in it without being too cold. I would definitely buy this fridge again because it is great value and super reliable. I would also recommend this fridge to a friend because I know they would also be satisfied with it.
