"Hands Down One of the Best Refrigerators"
Three years ago after an extensive remodeling of my kitchen, I decided to shop around for a new refrigerator. After what seemed like hours on the internet I finally came across a Whirlpool Side by Side unit in satin black. Aside from its handsome exterior this particular model is beyond functional and albeit energy efficient. So without wasting any time, I drove to my local Home Depot and picked it up at a steal. In addition to its Energy Star qualification, this particular model also boasts PUR water filtration systems which in my mind are two of the things I favor most about this model. Furthermore, in the three years that I've owned this unit, no repairs or maintenance has been needed except for the occasional changing of the water filter. This was a simple task because of it easy accessibility when the freezer side is opened. In conclusion this refrigerator has changed the way I run my kitchen and since its arrival to my kitchen, three interested friends have received my recommendation.

"Whirlpool : W8TXNGFWB Stay away"
Let me start off by saying this refrigerator is not great and I don't recommend it to anyone looking to buy one. I bought this fridge when my old one broke. I opened the box anxiously and set it up. You could imagine how unsatisfied I was when I plugged it in and heard the loudness of this thing. I can hear it from my living room which is one room away from it! That's not even the worst of it, every once in a while the fridge will just turn off and I'll have to unplug it and replug it in. The original title of this review was "Whirlpool : W8TXNGFWB You Get What You Pay For." Then I realized that the quality of this machine is definitely not worth the $500 I spent on it. I could find a much better refrigerator for the price and I probably will soon. If you are in the market for a new fridge, stay away from this model and the whirlpool line in general.

"Love my LARGE fridge"
We purchased our fridge new in May 2008. We decided on a side by side fridge/freezer after having the typical freezer over fridge models since 1999. We chose our model due to the fact that it had the most interior space available and a large amount of freezer space. The refrigerator section offers 3 drawers, 2 vegetable storage drawers and a "snack drawer". The drawers are all movable and you can rearrange the shelves any way you would like them. The doors offers deep shelves and it also has spaces along the top of the refrigerator door made for holding soda cans. The freezer has large metal baskets that are nice and deep and allow for a lot of storage in the freezer. We have had a drawer bracket break and need to replace it, it is a plastic drawer sliding bracket and when you pull the drawer completely out the weight on the plastic slider was too heavy and cracked the slider. The drawer still functions, as is, but we will be fixing this in the next few months. The water filter for the ice maker and water dispenser needs replaced very often and the price can be steep - around $30-$35 a filter. Overall though it's a great refrigerator that fits the needs of our family.

"Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator, which is nice and well built with a few exceptions"
I have owned this refrigerator for around four years now. This is a nice well-built refrigerator with plenty of room. I think the outside looks very nice, and there was a lot of time put into the interior. There are many unique shelves, including the pizza, ice-cream, and crispers. The two different crispers come in very handy since you can have fruits in one and vegetables in the other with different temperatures in both. The only problem with the refrigerator is that the water dispenser lever broke off about two years after buying, but we use it a lot, and can still use it, because there is a little bit still left. The refrigerator has many different compartments that can be used for many different things. There are three different drawers which can be used for many different things. The freezer also has a few things that make it very nice. The ice-cream and pizza rack are very nice. I think it is nice how they made use of the empty space on top of the ice maker, by making it an ice-cream rack.

"My refrigerator is huge, but I like it."
I have owned my refrigerator for over 10 years. It's seen its fair share of food and drinks. I love the fact that is has twin doors, and it looks much more sleek than other brands. I don't like that with its enormous size it dwarfs most of the counter space. We had to take out a foot and a half of usable counter and cabinet spacing. Now after a couple of years the ice machine stopped working and had to be replaced. It did not cost much, but was a big inconvenience. I would recommend Whirlpool to friends.

"Decent Refrigerator"
We purchased the Whirlpool side-by-side style refrigerator a little over a year ago now. The refrigerator overall is a great buy for a small family or couple. The refrigerator functions properly, and we haven't had any technical problems with it, and cleaning it is no problem either. The part that I am not satisfied with is that for a family of 6, there is not enough space for our fridge, and it's not easy to keep things organized, which is very important to me and my family. Overall though, this is a great, reliable brand, and I would purchase a refrigerator from them again, I think my problem was just that the side-by-side style refrigerator wasn't a good fit for me and my family. The refrigerator doesn't have a problem with the basic neccessities that a fridge should have. It keeps our food cold enough, functions properly, and the ice maker regenerates fast enough as well. Overall I am pretty satisfied and would certainly reccommend the brand!

"Review on Whirlpool Refrigerator"
I have had my white Whirlpool refrigerator for about 10 years now and I am still satisfied with it. My friend who owned the same one replaced it with a new stainless stell refrigerator that is about the same size as mine from the outside but from the inside is not as spacious as mine. Mine is a double vertical doored with the freezer on the left and hers is a double doored with the freezer on the buttom. Her freezer has a lot of space but it is very uncomfortable for her to dig through the buttom. I am happy with my refrigerator and it's functionality, however, it is becoming outdated and worn out from the outside and the inside drawers.

"Coolest Refrigerator Ever!"
I have a cool Whirlpool refrigerator in green. I am using this refrigerator for about 3 years now and it is still working well. In these three years, I have never repaired it or I don't remember having any big issues with it. However, I remember it turned off automatically once. I still have no clue what happened but besides I don't remember having any problem with it. Its always open and it keeps food fresh. I love the way it works, first it is very energy efficient, second it keeps the food fresh, third it is so spacious. The only thing I don't like about it is it's quite too big for my family. I can never fill it no matter how much shopping I do. But its not the brand issue, I chose the wrong size maybe. As it is big it is very easy for me to keep things during festive season epically putting turkey during thanksgiving . I would always buy the refrigerator from Whirlpool and suggest everyone else to do so.

"The Refrigerator"
I own a nice, simple little fridge. I don't need a big, fancy fridge for the household. We've had this fridge for about 8 months now. I like this item because it doesn't take up too much room and it looks great where it is. The space we have in the fridge and freezer isn't too small and it isn't too big. Everything we get fits perfectly and it has drawers so we can seperate things. When bringing it in, it was easy to move because it was small. One person can lift it alone. The thing I don't like about it though is that the door is so low to the ground and when I got to open it sometimes, my foot is there and I smack my toe with the door. For the 8 months we've owned the fridge, we haven't had to do any repairs. The only thing we did was wipe it down and make sure it was really clean before using it. If someone is looking for a nice, little, cheap fridge, then this is the one you want. Whirlpool has many choices for refrigerators. And if I were to buy another one, I'd definately go straight to this brand!

"Pros and Cons of Whirlpool Gold Refrigerators"
About 3 years ago, I purchased a Whirlpool Gold Refrigerator and have been somewhat satisfied with the product. One reason I chose this particular line of Whirlpool Refrigerators is the dimensions are a bit larger than others and have a lot more storage space. I also like the fact that this line is designed with a reversible door swing. Unfortunately, my kitchen was not compatible with the refrigerator, but I was able to reverse the direction of the door swing. My refrigerator is also Energy Star rated, so it has cut down some on our electric bill. Though there are many advantages, over the years I have experienced a couple of disadvantages. During the first initial uses of the icemaker, the ice had a bad taste. I Also had some issues with the icemaker clogging and freezing easily. We had to replace our icemaker after about 6 months but have not had any problems since. Compared to other brands of refrigerators I have had in the past, Whirlpool seems to be a bit noisier. Despite these few negative points, I am still happy with the purchase and would purchase whirlpool products again in the future. I feel that the advantages of the refrigerator outweigh the disadvantages. I would recommend Whirlpool to my friends and family.

"My lovely Whirlpool fridge which I bought 2 weeks ago"
This refrigerator I bought 2 weeks ago and it really does his job perfectly! No wonder - it's Whirlpool! I like its design - modest and stylish. It has an optimal size clean freezer compartment which is also working perfectly and keeps items frozen and I had nothing to repair on it and I hope it will work long. I also like its crispers to store an array and its defrost system as well as the refrigerator's capacity. It has a frost control technology, which makes it defrost automatically. It also has an ice-making equipment that increases the rate at which water turns into ice in the refrigerator. I really don't know what to write about its negative sides, maybe just the fact that by the moment I bought it there were no black one, so I got a white one. I like the brand and will definitely recommend it to my friends. In other words I'm deeply satisfied with my Whirlpool fridge!

"Very good fridge, would buy again"
I purchased this refrigerator about two months ago since we are renovating our house. This was purchased on the recommendation of a friend, and I would definitely recommend it to a friend as well. I love the three door design as it makes it easy to open and get stuff quickly, and the freezer is very big which allows for plenty of storage, which is good because I love frozen foods. The actual refrigerator part is very big as well and allows you to store a lot of food. I like the exterior water and iced dispenser, and the crushed ice a cool feature as well. It has not broke yet and appears to be very durable so it does not seem like it is going to break soon. This was a major upgrade from my last fridge which was junk, so this one is amazing and I could not be happier with it.

I have been using the whirlpool refrigirator since 4 years. The refrigirator is very spacious and designed in a comfortable way. There are no comments on negativity, as it has all the advantages, and according to me there is no point in showing the disadvantage. It doesn't have any repairs from the date of purchase. I would recommend this product as it is designed well, no repairs at all, quick cooler, and of course the technology which would make the vegetables and fruits fresh enough even after 5 days has been really seen.

"Icebox with Icemaker"
A few months ago, my old fridge went on the fritz, as they would say. For the past two months I have enjoyed my new one. I did not look for the most expensive, but I did need freezer space. So I settled on an upright with the side freezer. Having previously bought stainless steel more than five years ago, this time I went with plain white. There is not much to find fault with in the refrigerator other than some would probably complain about its plainness. It has several features that I enjoy. The icemaker is easily my favorite. I can choose crushed or cubed ice and it also dispenses water. I love the lighted feature, when getting a drink in the dark; I have no need to turn on the kitchen light. The freezer has ample space for storage and even has compartment bins built into the door. I love this feature because it allows me to put the things I defrost most right at my disposal. I need a refrigerator when I got this one and I have been pleased with my purchase.

"The Best Refrigerator I Have Ever Owned"
I have owned this refrigerator for about 3 years and this is the best refrigerator I have owned. The 3 door design is great and gives me plenty of room in both the refrigerator and freezer sections.The external water and ice dispenser is extremely conveneient and it works great. I love being able to quickly get water and ice any time. The baskets in the freezer section are great for storing away food until you need it, and make it easy to organize food in the freezer. I have never needed it to be repaired, and it has worked without fail every day since I purchased it. If I had to buy a new refrigerator I would not hesitate to purchase the same one. I would absolutely recommend this refrigerator for anyone who needs it, and Whirlpool has provided me with an amazing product. This is easily the best refrigerator I have purchased, and Whirlpool has made yet another amazing product.

"Disappointed with Whirlpool Refrigerator"
I have been using the refrigerator for about 2 months now. I like that is a side by side with the tall freezer. However, the space inside (on both halves) is not wide enough. There is not enough room to put a standard size pizza box in the fridge. I do like that there are adjustable shelves but I wish there was a smaller lunch meat and cheese drawer as opposed to two large vegetable drawers. I have actually been cut from the sharp plastic on the drawer handles a couple times and often find that the drawers are hard to pull out straight. One thing I noticed in the first day or two is that on the "recommended" temperature setting drinks were not cooling. I had to crank up the settings - making it less energy efficient. The refrigerator serves it's purpose, but I would not buy this same make and model again. I would recommend spending a little more money on something that will function a little easier.

"Excellent Refrigerator"
I own this Whirlpool refrigerator and have been very pleased with it for several reasons. First, the black and stainless steel exterior looks great in my kitchen and matches very well with other black and/or stainless appliances. Second, the interior space of the fridge is very large, has easily adjusted shelves, 3 storage bins and large, adjustable shelves on the door. The freezer is a little smaller, but still has a good amount of space, similarly easy to adjust shelves and a very handy pull-out bin. Third, this fridge has an ice and water dispenser including a water filter. While the filters are a little expensive, they work great and are simple to change when needed. Finally, I've had no problems with my appliance. It runs great and seems fairly efficient as well. Both the interior and exterior are easy to clear. This fridge definitely has my recommendation! Based on my experience with this fridge, I would purchase Whirlpool products again.

"My Whirlpool Refrigerator"
We shopped and compared different brands, styles, and price ranges of refrigerators. We found this to have all that we required in a fridge, while remaining a good value. We did not want to spend more than $1000, and we came in under $900 including tax! The exterior design is very sleek; having the look of stainless without all the fingerprints. The adjustable shelves on the door are removable for easy cleaning, which is a plus. The doors seal very well, especially the door to the fridge side which often seems to be vacuum sealed very tight. It is quiet, looks great in my kitchen, is easy to use, and I really enjoy it so far! I've had mine 1 yr and its easy to clean works fantastic. I've had 2 others with all the whistles and this one does just as good a job with less up keep and things to mess up,its freezer and refrigerator compartments hold family pack sized meats easy. i have mine next to the kitchen wall on the refrigerator side so it doesn't open all the way back, but i have no trouble getting things out of the door opening and i buy value sized everything

"My favorite Whirlpool refrigerator."
I am staying in a rented apartment with my husband. He is an engineer and I am a home maker. When we reached USA from India we rented this apartment. All the appliances are included in this apartment including refrigerator. They provide Whirlpool refrigerator here. It is working very well. I like this one. So we purchased 2 whirlpool refrigerators and presented to our parents. For that we spend $750 for each. It is working well now. It is a black refrigerator with 2 doors. My refrigerator is an energy saver and I am so happy about it. I am using this for last one year and it has no complaint till now. I recommend the same Whirlpool refrigerator to many of my friends. I love my Whirlpool ED5KVEXB refrigerator very much.
