"Looking for another Roper"
Our new home came with a Roper dishwasher in 1999. It is still in use and I hate to part with it. That being said the only problem I ever experienced with this machine is the racks rusted. We are losing prongs and still the machine runs awesome! No pre-rinsing, no scrubbing, load the thing and let it run. And it has run at least once a day for 15 years. I found this site because I am looking for another Roper. Hope I find one because the neighborhood has replaced theirs once, some even twice. Searching....

"Better product than "big name" rivals"
We purchased and installed our Roper dishwasher in the spring of 2000. Believe me, a family of seven really tests a dishwasher. Thirteen years later it is not only still operational but delivers a far superior cleaning with no pre-rinsing/washing. My friends who turned up their noses at my humble Roper have replaced their expensive brands once or even twice in 13 years. Not to mention that they basically wash their dishes first and when I asked them why, I was told "dishwashers are actually sanitizers". Well, I tell them my Roper does both. I don't work for my dishwasher; it works for me!

"This Dishwasher is a Reliable No-Frills Model"
This is a pretty good basic dishwasher. It's a no-frills model that gets the job done. One of the few features it has that I really like is the energy saving dry mode, where it uses plain air instead of heated air to dry the dishes. This is great not only to save energy but for washing plastics that might melt on heated dry. I have had this dishwasher for awhile and experienced no maintenance problems at all with it. It gets the dishes nice and clean even with cheap dish detergent. It has never been clogged or anything. I never use jet dry or anything like that and the only thing I do to clean the dishwasher itself is occasionally wipe debris out of the bottom of it. I never have any problems with stuck on food, residue or dishes not getting clean enough. You can load it very full and it still gets the dishes nice and clean. I would recommend this model for anyone who wants a simple dishwasher but if you want a lot of features and style you will probably be disappointed.
