"Rutt kitchen and bathrooms in 1999"
We redid our entire house - kitchen and 3 bathrooms, hallway cabinets etc - with Rutt in 1999. 22 years later, the cabinets look new, and everyone who comes to our home things we just redid our kitchen. I couldn't be more satisfied with them. We chose maple in a light finish, so I can't speak to how painted finishes hold up, but we are beyond happy. We have just purchased another home, and although the price now rather takes my breath away, and it's a 6 month lead time, we are going with Rutt again because we simply can't imagine using anything else.

"Delays"
So the distribution takes my order and $20k (100% of the cost of the kitchen) and tells me that Rutt will have it done within 3 months. At 2 months I check in with the distributor and they tell me that Rutt told them they have made quite a few of my cabinets already. At 3 months I check in again and the distributor tells me that Rutt hasn't built anything yet and that it'll be another 3 months before the cabinets are completed. Blames everything on covid. So 1) I always had to be proactive and check on my order instead of Rutt of the distributor to inform me of the progress. 2) when Rutt confirmed my order and took 100% of the cost they basically confirmed they had all of the materials needed to complete the kitchen. 3) who takes 100% of the cost as a deposit? Is this even legal/ethical? So for now I've been BBQ for the last 4 and a half months...we'll see how this one ends up. Definitely passed. Stay away.

"Old Rutt great."
Forty years ago, we moved into a home with 3 year old navy kitchen cabinets made by Rutt. The cleaning instructions are still inside one of the doors and give Rutt-Williams (The latter is likely the local kitchen specialist.) as the source. The refrigerator and dishwasher were then covered by the same navy cabinetry. Not only is the color back in again, but they have held up extremely well. We are soon to have the counter top replaced with quartz. Our designer said to "Keep the cabinets." There is a little paint bubbling at the bottom of two doors, but it has been over 40 years! So however they were built back then, they crafted incredible cabinets. And yes, we had three sons who used the cupboards a lot.

"The worst"
Cabinets started to warp, paint chipped, and cabinets would not close. They told me that they would not repair or address the problem, despite life time warranty. Do not buy this stuff. A definite con job.

"Hesitant at first"
With so many China store claiming they can provide a quality product, we decided to try American. There was a significant price difference, however, the quality was the difference. They sent a rep out to assist and the end product is wonderful. It was obvious the better wood quality right from the beginning. I'm very pleased.

"Very Poor Quality"
My husband and I recently bought a home that boasted "custom Rutt kitchen". Having renovated a kitchen recently, we knew what to look for. Right off the bat, there is absolutely zero dovetail construction on the drawers. Drawers are stapled together and are very difficult to open and close. We hope to renovate this new kitchen in the next 5 years and will definitely not use this brand of cabinet.

"Rutt Cabinets: huge disappointment"
Purchased an entire kitchen and family room of Rutt cabinets. Within 1 year, the paint was peeling, and even bubbled without any trigger (I.E. no water damage, no humidity, no young children banging, nothing at all that could cause this damage). The design company where I bought it agreed with me, but Rutt insisted that it was not a warranty problem and refused to even provide paint to patch. I mean, paint was peeling off the cabinets. As much as I want to buy products made in America, I would encourage you to buy a different manufacturer. Rutt does not stand behind their products. I went all the way to the top, and Rutt refused to stand behind their products. Never again. Inferior products.

"Awful Customer Service"
Ordered a kitchen recently paid roughly $30,000 for 10 or so cabinets, without installation. Once installed, there were noticeable black sharpie pen like markings on the cabinets. A Rutt rep came to our job site to "review" the issue and claims that it is the mineral in the wood. We had 2 sample doors and a sample drawer and not 1 mark. Rutt is not standing by their product or taking responsibility for these markings. They more or less said screw you we already have your money and you're not getting it back, and/or the issue corrected.

"Non-Reputable Company"
Several years ago, we spent a fortune on Rutt Cabinets, only to receive badly streaked cabinets with fisheyes. The company refused to stand behind their products. To this day, communications to the company about helping cure this condition are met with nastiness and arrogance.

"American Made does mean qualty!"
We built our dream kitchen 10 yrs ago already, wow who time flies! Anyway I just wanted to state in a few words how very satasifed we are with the Rutt brand cabinets that we installed not only in our kitchen but in the familyroom enterainment center. Not only are the the highest quality craftsmanship but they were localy made right in Pennsivanina. The cabinets are as beautiful today as the day they finished installing them. The self closing hinges and drawers have been a blessing with the children always trying to slam things, However I would not recommend the inset doors as with the moisture the doors somesties stick. It was nice that the time when a hinge broke it was very easy to find a new one and easy to replace. My friends really lovre our Rutt brand cabinets and we have and would reccmond these cabinets to anyone of our friends in the future. We are currently designing our master bath and will be using rutt ccabinets again for sure!
