LG/ Stove/Range/Ovens

LG is a Korean group of conglomerates. The US division is based in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. They sell home appliances, mobile phones, home electronics, digital displays and media products using the "Life's Good" slogan.

LG freestanding ranges are powered by gas or electricity. Gas appliances boast electronic ignitions that eliminate the need for old-fashioned pilot lights. Both gas and electric models come in white, black and stainless steel. Some models have a convection oven feature or an extra-large oven capacity. Other features include a SuperBoil™ Burner and SmoothTouch™ Controls.

Built-in LG ovens are double or single with gas or electric. They feature large windows, self-cleaning capability, convection, electronic touch controls, a choice of 3 colors, and widths of 24, 27, or 30" widths.

LG History

LG International was established as the Goldstar Company in Korea in 1958. In 1968, they established an office in New York. By 1991, they manufactured, sold and exported more home appliances from Korea than anyone else in their country. The company changed its name to LG, an abbreviation of Lucky Goldstar, in 1995. North American appliance sales make up about 35% of sales.
