"Design defect"
I bought my Schuler cabinets in 2013. They say they have a warranty however if you read it everything is excluded. So basically once you accept the cabinets when you receive them - that's it! 4 of my door/drawer fronts started to look bad about 2 years ago. I spent $25K on a small kitchen and paid $1500 extra for all wood - no MDF. Mostly I got that except for 1 tall cabinet which box was MDF. We didn't have time to reorder since the installers were ready to go, so we accepted it. My real problem is water damage. Kitchens are wet places. The warranty says they won't pay for extreme water damage - I get that. But I have 4 cabinet fronts that have warped bottom inside panels because they did get water drips. The 2 doors under the sink, the towel drawer and the garbage door all have water damage on the MDF panel that they used on the inside of the door frame. This is exactly why we paid extra for real wood. Maybe if they painted the bottom edge of the panel better, to seal it, the drips would not have went down between the moulding and frame and cause this damage. I emailed them and they will not replace them because they say they do not replace for water damage. That is not what the warranty says - it say EXTREME water damage. I few drips on the door below the sink when you open it to get a cleaning product is not extreme water damage. It is using the product on a daily basis and it not holding up. Sorry for the rant but they were no help. Now I have to go to Lowes and spend who knows how much for 4 new drawers/doors.

"Holbrook Chestnut"
Wanted so bad to love my new cabinets, especially after waiting 3 months to get them. Only one, (the sink cabinet) was Rustic. The color is not rich throughout. I saw the sample door and let me tell you, that is what you would use and build for yourself! (If you were the cabinet company...Building them for yourself / kitchen)! I ordered rustic Maple in chestnut stain. I'm sure I didn't get Rustic Maple on any cabinet except the Sink Base. Even that is sub-par. It sticks out like a sore thumb next to the very expensive drawer base cabinets that are not Rustic in anyway. I should not be kicking myself over this crap lot of base cabinets for my new home. I've just waited a long time to have custom anything, new home...just very sad... and no, I wouldn't recommend these cabinets to anyone. I don't know what has happened to this cabinet company in these later years, going through the 2020's reviews, they all look glorious. Pfff, what in the heck happened here? Don't do it!

"Kitchen cabinet review.. do not purchase"
Warning.. Do not buy… after 7 months am still waiting for the correct cabinets to be delivered without damage! Once these cabinets are sold and the company has your money, they Don't give a rats patootie what happens. The order was missing several items, cabinets, doors and glass. The entire island was delivered in the wrong finish and 6 out of 9 cabinets were severely damaged. It took almost 2 months of back and forth before someone came to inspect and acknowledge the damage and put in a replacement order. No expediting for this company... It's supposedly going to take a further 3-4 months to replace and delver them. I won't hold my breath. We are stunned that a company is so blasé about customer service... There is, in fact, none! Having spent close to $90,000.00 on cabinets for kitchen and butlers Pantry, I would have thought they would at least make an effort to get it right. Again, i'm not holding my breath.

"Schuler Cabinets have shoddy workmanship"
I purchased Schuler cabinets from Lowes in January 2022 and they were delivered June 13, 2022. These cabinets are not made by professional craftsman and the workmanship is not what I expected for 25K. The pantry cabinet was split at the top corner when the factory installed the door hinge. They stapled the wood together at the factory to try to keep the split from showing. Had my contract not removed the doors to reduce the weight, we would not have seen the damage. Over time the weight of the doors would have cause the split to grow all the way down the edge of the cabinet. On another cabinet, the laminate was all ragged around the edges and there was a big chip from the laminate at the corner. Lowes has been very accommodating, but now my contractor cannot complete the kitchen and the counter top template will be delayed.

"Do Not Buy Schuler Cabinets"
We had read the reviews prior, but went ahead and ordered Schuler anyhow. What a huge mistake, just one year later! Peeling, discoloring, chipping and more! After a $20K purchase!!! Schuler did nothing at all! Sent us a couple cabinet fronts, that are now bluish in color. Totally mismatched, per sam fette, a lowes account manager, where we bought. Sam did nothing!! We are extremely upset! This is a huge $$$ Loss for us. We may have to take Schuler to court to get our money back!! Again!! Do not buy Schuler cabinets!!

"Surface of inset panel is cracking vertically"
Supposedly, Lowe's top of the line cabinets, but they are cheaply made by Elkay and branded Schuler. The clear coat on the surface of many insets is cracked/split and allows in moisture making it get worse and worse. There are many, many black vertical lines (like you see on rotted wood) on panels that should be natural. It also to four tries to get the order right.

"Worst cabinets"
We bought the "top of the line" Shuler cabinets from Lowes. They are absolutely awful! They all peeled after a couple of years and neither Shuler nor Lowes would not do a thing about it. I would use anything but Schuler. Shame on the company for not standing behind this product.

"Do not buy Shuler cabinets!"
I order 24 Shuler kitchen cabinets at Lowe's. Every single cabinet came with problems and 2 cabinets are broken but packages were not. It seems like Shuler shipped broken cabinets. Big chips of plywood inside of cabinets and cracks on a wood where are door hinges are screwed to. I would post my pictures, but here is no such option. Paint is faded on some doors right out of the box, just because they are greedy and did not sprayed enough. This company should not exist anymore and Lowe's should stop cooperate with them!!!!! People who had a bad experience should cooperate and sue Shuler company!

"Kitchen cabinets!"
These cabinets are the worst quality! Lowe's stock cabinets are better quality than this garbage! The paint has bubbles up on the fronts of the doors.. all the seams have paint worn off! They are garbage! I don't even use my kitchen much... it's just the two of us! I would hate to see what they look like if I had kids! My cabinets had problems in the first year having them! I contacted Schuler... they sent me a few door replacements.. but when I continued to have problems.. they sent out a rep and the rep said they needed replaced! Schuler ended up firing the rep.. and I never heard from them again! Do not buy these cabinets!

"Shoddy workmanship and inspections"
The door are beautiful, if you don't look very closely. I expected a lot more for $36,000. The finish was shoddy and there is no beading on the doors to hold the panels in place. All that they did was shoot them in with a brad nailer. Guess what? Those panels pop out during shipment. Yes, they will order you new doors but guess what? Those panels pop out during shipment! Three times now they have sent us two cabinets that are wrong. 8 months into this project and we are still waiting on a cabinet and 3 doors. Never again!

"Cabinet doors"
We would never use them again or recommend to anyone, when we had the cabinets delivered the only one set was in a box the rest were in brown packaging and the packing was damaged, out of 27 cabinets there were 9 doors and drawer fronts damaged, we went back and forth with the manufacture had a very hard time getting thru to them never response back and never replied to our email, went to Lowes the person who did all the ordering got a hold of the rep. and they will only replace one out of 9 damage doors. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. They don't back up there service.

"Great quality, no dissappointments"
I'm happy to give positive reviews for Schuler cabinetry. We were impressed with the quality of Schuler cabinets at Lowes. When reading some negative online reviews however, there was some reservation. Since Schuler had a stained finish we fell in love with and couldn't match elsewhere(Cappuccino with Burnt Sienna Glaze), we felt confident to go with our gut and purchase the cabinets. The delivery was great...all rec'd in one shipment(which was large), all undamaged and well packed. The Lowes designer was very helpful. We kept our original kitchen design, so it was easier. If we were to change the design, I would have paid the nominal fee to have the designer come on site to verify design. Lowes doesn't promote that this is possible, which I think is unfortunate. Loving the look and quality of my Schuler cabinetry, and definitely recommend.

"Love This Brand"
Surprised to see this many bad reviews. We purchased Schuler and spoke to several others that purchased Schuler prior to buying and all had an overall great experience. The Lowe's installer we used was great showing us how well built the cabinets are and Schuler is his favorite brand to install. I guess statistics showing most people comment when unhappy and few comment when happy is true. We had one cabinet damaged in transit, but it was replaced within three weeks. I find that very acceptable for a custom cabinet that had to be completely remade. The drawers and glides are very strong, holding my cast iron and heavy glassware with no issues. Finish is amazing and we love the interior accessories. We are extremely happy with our purchase and would recommend to anyone.

"8 Years and Still Very Satisfied"
I have had Schuler cabinets in two bathrooms for 8 years now and I am still very satisfied with them. The finish is holding up well, the drawers still work like the day they were new, the doors have remained square and there have been no problems with wood cracking or seams/joints separating. After several custom product orders from the "box" stores, I have realized that many of the issues other reviewers cite, and I have also experienced, are due to the retailer, and not the manufacture. High employee turnover, multiple people working on your order, and a loading dock staffed with people who treat cabinets the same as pallets of lumber all contribute to errors, lost orders, poor customer service and damaged goods. If the store is well managed, you find a good sales person in the cabinet department, and ONLY work with that person, you will likely be satisfied with the purchase and these cabinets.

"Warning, worst ever"
Wrong colors delivered. Late delivery. Wrong products. It took forever to get the right products. I delivered almost $400 in returns for wrong product delivered. Sales people are untrained, and could care less. Go to a cornet store. Avoid this product, and Lowes Cabnet sales.
