"More than 6 months to get replacement parts"
December 8, 2016 I have requested several times via Homedepot replacement parts for Thomasville cabinets. I have made my first request more than 6 months ago and at least 4 times after that, but have not received a single part yet.

"Go Somewhere Else"
When you buy $11.000 kitchen cabinets from Home depot they want it paid in full before they order them. Now I know why. They have your money and now you have to fight with them to get anything done. We thought Thomasville cabinets were a good cabinet. Wrong. The finish on the cherry wood is so thin the raw wood is exposed and blotchy. They sent numerous replacement doors, but all had the same issue, we had the factory rep. From Thomasville here and he says it's a humidity issue. Wrong again. It's a poor application of stain. We had 3 cabinet refinishers say they would all have to be refinished to all match. Now we have to fight home depot. Home Depot and Thomasville are not compromising, it's been 6 months. Next step Court.

"Unfit Cabinets"
So I have a gripe against my favorite store - Home Depot and one of their cabinet mfg - Thomasville Cabinetry. So I decided to order Spencer's basement kitchen so I could concentrate on other things in his little suite. I paid a huge sum of money to get custom cabinets made for the space. I ordered a total of 3 cabinets, 4 shelves, 1 end panel and 1 toe kick - of that order 2 shelves were not damaged or just plain wrong. So I call Home Depot - I ask for a refund because the failure rate for the product was too high to consider keeping the product. I get told that I am not entitled to a refund, but the mfg will remake 2 cabinets, the toe kick, the end panel and 2 shelves. There is one shelf they blamed me for - I provided the designer with the measurements, told her what I wanted, she drew it up and I said - yep - that's what I want. She orders a cabinet that does not do what the picture indicates, but because it's all in code, I have no idea what the hell she ordered. So now I am to blame for not reviewing what she ordered and therefore they won't replace the wrong cabinet - WTH? really? I am now talking with the store manager, have left a complaint with the manufacturer and the designer, well she agrees - it's my fault I didn't know what the codes were and that her design was flawed. I don't think it is unreasonable to assume a layman consumer goes to a designer because they expect the designer to make sure the right cabinets are ordered. I will be taking this up the chain at Home Depot, Thomasville Cabinetry and the BBB - as a consumer, I should be able to rely on the expertise they tell me they have and if they get something wrong, they should fess up and pay for the mistake. Just for the record. Thomasville said they screwed up on one cabinet, the end panel, shelves and toe kick and Home Depot agreed that they screwed up on one cabinet but the last cabinet they are saying that I should have known the order was wrong - what I don't understand is how I would have known? How is the one cabinet that the designer screwed up on different than the other cabinet - other than that Home Depot has to eat the cost of having two cabinets redone. For the record - I would never buy from this manufacturer again - Thomasville Cabinetry and I would never work with Home Depot on anything I didn't directly design and order myself.

"Custom kitchen cabinets"
The quality not up to the Thomasville reputation. Very poor finish inside cabinets, pieces and parts missing. I paid for the new kitchen in January 2016, got delivery in April, had it installed in June and since then it has been a nightmare with Home Depot and Thomasville customer service. I even bought another piece and paid for it separately in June and still have not seen the piece delivered. I call constantly, long distance as I am in Canada and the kitchen was purchased for our condo in Florida. I wrote many emails and someone always is going to look after the situation but no one ever calls back or does anything about trying to resolve the matter. Even the customer service rep from Thomasville told me at least four time that he was on it and said he called the rep in florida to look after this but nothing came of that either. I even called to get his email but they did not give it to me and now they always tell me he is in a meeting and will call but he never does. Appalling customer service, disgusting customer service on both ends, home depot and Thomasville. Never will I deal with them again. I just hope someone will wake up and do their job. A very angry and dissatisfied Canadian,

"Disgusted"
Just received my cabinets and every single one of them are damaged not one drawer, cabinet, modeling or trim it not damaged. It looks like someone housed them to play darts with small pin holes on every single piece and scratches and dents. I've never been so disappointed and disgusted in my life. Called Home Depot and they can't get ahold of Thomasville till Monday so we shall see what they are gonna do about it. But even if they replace everything which is what needs done this should of never happened. Each box has a sticker on it saying it was inspected by Joanna, well whoever she is she needs fires cause not one of these cabinets should of been allowed out of the their factory.

"Lousy Home Depot Design"
After having our dream kitchen designed by Home Depot, we learned that we could not even open one lazy susan cabinet and that our new refrigerator could not be opened far enough (hit cabinets) to be able to open the shelves and vegetable bins. Please do not buy home depot designed Thomasville kitchens. After 8 months, Home Depot has again refused to accept that its kitchen design resulted in us not being able to even open a cabinet door and to not be able to open the refrigerator door wide enough to take out shelves and veggie bins. Have not been able to use this part of our dream kitchen for 8 months. Home Depot's "solution" to us (retired couple, almost 70 years old) is to completely pull out the refrigerator periodically to be able to clean the veggie bins and live with an unusable lazy susan that cannot be opened. Why did we spend $15,000 for a Thomasville kitchen that we cannot use fully?

"Extremely Unsatisfied Customer"
We ordered our cabinets from Home Depot, the rep was very good, however when our cabinets arrived on March 4, they dropped three skids of them in our driveway, saying they did not carry them in. This was 5:00 P.M. on a Friday, nice for them that there was no way to get in touch with anyone. When the cabinets were unpacked there were a lot of problems with damage and missing pieces. One month later they sent two replacement cabinets, one of which was the wrong one, the trim for the island only arrived on April 19. Thomasville rep had promised a free spice rack, I had ordered one which never came, well one came yesterday and instead of the custom wooden one I had ordered it was a piece of plastic looking very much like a left over piece of siding. Home depot has been very helpful through it all and have given us a $200.00 rebate. Thomasville couldn't even give us the promised spice rack. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

"Hinges squeak and paint flaking off after 5 years"
We bought our Thomasville kitchen cabinets at Home Depot about 5 years ago. After a few years I noticed that the paint-like coating had begun to flake off. Then hinges began squeaking/scraping when opening the cabinet doors. The hinges can be replaced, but the flaking surface is unrepairable. Further, the laminate has begun to split and separate at the bottom of the cabinets. Never buy laminated cabinets. Never buy cabinets that are not painted or stained. They are unrepairable.

"New Kitchen Cabinets"
I ordered 15 cabinets for my kitchen in Hickory through Home Depot. Thomasville was right on time in getting the cabinets done and shipped. I kinda went down hill from there but that is another story. The cabinets look great and except for one door hinge screw broken off, they look great. The installer was able to fix hinge but today I received a new door and several hinges. Good Service.

"Save your money"
If you want a company that will stand behind their product and inform you of what you are getting versus what you are being shown do not buy Thomasville. The sample doors in the showrooms misrepresent what you pay for. They have staple marks in them, and when brought to the attention to the rep and customer service they will fight with you that they are right and it is the way they do things at Thomasville. I spent over $11,000.00 for cabinets and am not satisfied with the doors. Home Depot who sells the product is not a place I would shop at either.

"Poor quality control"
We purchased our Thomasville Kitchen Cabinets from Home Depot, and spent $20k. The person who helped us was knowledgeable and helpful, though there were a couple of errors made on our order that required the return of a cabinet and pick up when the replacement arrived at the store. The biggest problem though was the cabinet finish. We ended up needing to return more than half of the cabinet doors due to the poor quality of the finish. There were marks, dents and what looked like saw dust under or in the paint. This was very disappointing from what I thought was a high end cabinet maker. I could see some of the pieces were marked made in China, which was confusing considering these are supposed to be American made.

Purchased at Home Depot. The Sales person never called up back when we had problems the first month to date. Cabinets came through with gaps in doors, draws do not close, seams coming apart, now spider cracks in the paint. Just a waste of our hard earned money. Disaster full kitchen full of disaster.

"Kitchen remodel by Home Depot and Thomasville"
Kitchen is in the process of being installed, I noticed some of the cabinets were unfinished on the bottom, explanation was the cabinets that had glass fronts are stained and the solid doors ones are not. The supervisor said they they would have had to "charge more to make the same" So let's see not I have to hire a painter and since it cannot be stained, it will have to be painted (good luck getting the paint to match the stain) pay for the paint and labor and probably have a look that will bug me every time I look at it, seems like they should have given me the option of "saving a few bucks", I am not pleased with thomasville or home depot at this point and they won't be doing any more of the remodel work in my home, any suggestions on how to handle this would be appreciated.

"Missing Parts, Horrible Quality Control"
We ordered from the Thomasville Value line, as my customer wanted oak with a shaker door style. It seems Thomasville was the only vendor to offer the combination that I could find. My Home Depot rep was great to work with, but when the cabinets came, every door was crooked, so I had to take 11 hours of my time (thus far, for free) to adjust the doors that should have been adjusted and set right at the factory. It looked like a three year old attached the doors. So far, Thomasville says this is "just a part of the install." I have never had to adjust doors on any other manufacturer, and pointed out that I could walk to the next aisle and purchase a whole kitchen full of cabinetry off their shelves and never have to adjust doors. I had to even re-drill holes so they would adjust up and down, because they would set the screws where there was no possibility of adjustment without re-drilling. We had to remove the drawer fronts and re-drill to get them to set level and evenly spaced between the cabinet doors. The doors are different sizes, too, so if you're trying to get them to look level on the bottom, odds are they won't be the same at the top. Then, they forgot to ship the roll out trays in the pantry cabinet. We went to the Depot on a Friday, the contractor rep talked directly with Thomasville and they said they were shipping the trays that day via FedEx directly to the customers' home, and they would be delivered no later than the following Tuesday. Wednesday, the customer e-mailed me to tell me they had not arrived yet. We had a family emergency early on Wednesday, so I called the Depot on Thursday night, couldn't reach anyone, and Friday they told me the roll out trays shipped not the Friday they had said, but the following Thursday, 3 days later than the promised delivery date! We installed over a month ago, and a corner shelf unit came in damaged, which was reported to them, and a new one was ordered. I have been inquiring about this for weeks, and I went onto their website to track it today after the manager of the Depot said he couldn't even call (which is not true), and it says it's set for delivery on August 6. This is completely unacceptable!! Their incompetence will not allow me to finish the project, give these people (who are rightfully running way out of patience) back their home, and I can't move further with the completion and our final payment, until Thomasville get's their Sh*t together!! They will definitely be hearing from me, and they will listen! In the future, I will purchase via the internet, and never do business with Thomasville again. I've spent less money on cabinets and never had these headaches and bs that Thomasville seems far too accustomed to doling out. It's high time for me to be their migraine.

"Very upset costumer"
We got our cabinets from Home Depot. What a rip off. We paid 13000.00$ and they're made cheap. Hairline cracks started after 1 year almost every door has them. Cabinets are separating at the seams. Can't get fingerprints off. All the company has to say is you have warranty with these. Very upset with Home Depot and Thomasville.

"Appalling and inexcusable."
Don't walk away. Run. Let me explain. Thomasville does not know how to do drawers or doors and are incapable of learning. They will never fit squarely or close properly no matter how many times you reorder them. Be very careful with the doors. A middle-school child can tear one apart with her bare hands. You may be told that alder is stronger than hickory. Don't believe them. You may be told that particle board is as good or better than plywood. Their plywood is even cheaper than their particle board, so this may be true. You will be told that the boxes are glued. They use only enough glue to make it true, but not enough to hold the boxes together, which is another reason why they won't. You may be told that they stand by their warranty. Don't believe them. They will pretend to repair their product, as they agreed, as many times as it takes for you to give up on trying to get them right. Customer service is there to smile at you and agree with you. They are not there to give you satisfaction, because they can't, and they know it, and now you know it. They're not in business to give you satisfaction. They're in business to make money. They will tell you that the cabinets are framed, but they are only face frames, not box frames. Thomasville boxes are frameless, meaning the wall cabinets will tear out after a couple of years if you put anything in them besides cereal boxes. It's only cheap 3/8" plywood, after all. Appliances used to last for many years. With planned obsolescence they now last five to seven years. Same with Thomasville. If you are very careful they might last five years. Then you can replace them with framed cabinets, with 1/2" plywood, by a reputable maker.

Very poor workmanship. We had to take the facer board off our bathroom vanity and put it back on level. It was so not level that the door scraped against the board when you opened it. Took over 9 weeks to arrive. Would never recommend this company!

"Horrible"
Updated review>>> Remember that 2nd replacement cabinet I mentioned for my island that seemed fine...well Discovered a few months ago the entire face of the frame detaches from the Island. This is on the bar side that is rarely opened or used! I opened up the cabinet to retrieve a baking dish that I rarely use and as I was holding onto the door opening it the entire frame comes off. I quickly pushed it back afraid my granite counter top would collapse on me. I will never order again! I swear next time I can get better quality through ikea! Do not purchase thomasville from hmedepot I spent 15k on garbage

"Very disappointed"
Two years ago we remodeled a bathroom using Thomasville cabinetry for the vanity and shelf unit over the toilet. The vanity took 2 deliveries to get it right but we were satisfied with the results. Now we ordered 5 pieces for a master bath remodel and they were delivered in a timely manner but the finish does not even resemble what we ordered or put in our other bathroom. In addition the finish on the fronts does not match the sides at all. Not even close. In addition one of the cabinets looks as if a dog has been chewing on the sides. Thomasville told the Home Depot associate that we got what we ordered and to reorder would only get us the same thing. The associate was as upset as we are. We received a refund of our $3000 and are now trying to find what we want elsewhere which leaves us way behind on our project.

"Big time regrets"
Purchased through Home Depot 9/2010. Took out original, 30 year old cabinets and put in Thomasville. The overall look of the kitchen was beautiful. (Langston in Clove). Within 6 months, I had the exact issues already noted on this site. Spots where the finish just completely smudged off. My trash can pull out drawer front is raising and actually developing hairline splits? I would never recommend the quality of these cabinets to anyone. I paid $10,000, and that was some hard cash to come up with. I trusted my hd designer to provide me my once in a lifetime dream kitchen, and I am ill each time I see a new mark, crack, etc. The company will not even send me matching stain so I can attempt to correct the marks. If I had it to do over, I would have a local build the cabinets. I have pulled out all the paperwork in preparation of contacting hd for at least 1 more replacement door. So far, they have followed through with sending new doors. However, these don't always match what is installed so then I must reorder.
