"Kraftmaid Cabinet poor quality"
We had Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets put in our home because that what our builder used. The following are the issues we experienced that form the basis for our claim that Kraftmeid cabinets are not good quality: The side of the cabinet finish was not the same finish of the front of the cabinets. The trash drawer did not close or open properly. Our standard size counter depth refrigerator did not fit in the refrigerator cabinet. The inside shelving did not fit. The inside shelf color and inside of cabinet did not match. The mullion windows were not the correct ones ordered. All these items have been identified to the retailer that we had to go through and have yet to be resolved. We have tried to contact Kraftmaid directly but they will not speak to us because we are not the retailer. In addition to these items the things we were not aware of is that the size of the drawers and cabinets for Kraftmaid are smaller than the better quality cabinets. Depth of upper cabinets are only 11" instead of 12" and drawers are not full height or width of cabinets.

"Kitchen Cabinets"
Worst product I could ever buy. Took forever to get them and then dark color didn't match. I kept receiving replacements that still didn't match. I was told they were from different batches. I finally settled because I was tired of dealing with them. So, for the past years they have been my cabinets. One of my Biggest problems is that they constantly get fingerprints and look awful. I have tried every product on the market and nothing works. Are there any suggestions out there? I seem to not be able to get a response from the makers.

"Best quality, service, guarantee"
Don't know why anyone would badmouth this manufacturer. 12 yrs pass and the cabinets are like new. had some normal wear and tear on some draws and company was happy to replace them at no cost at all. Spoke to John who figured out which pieces were needed from original order and replaced them No Charge. Would not buy anything else and passing on the good word to disregard poor reviews. Keep up the good work and life time warrantee Big T

"Worst Customer Service Ever"
Would not answer simple question about cabinet material. Told me to contact a professional cabinet refinisher. End panels are cheap and dont match the material of the front of cabinets... so refinishing to have them match is impossible.

"Home Depot Renovation From Hell"
My sister was encouraged to use Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets. The cabinet doors arrived damage and have been replaced several times, then they sent out a repair man to try to fix them still didn't work and again they have to be replaced. Plus the glass kitchen cabinet doors were warped and now thoese have to be replaced. You pay for brand new cabinets, but what you get from the manufacturer is damage goods. Do not go with Kraftmaid! She is still waiting for good cabinet doors replacements it's coming up to a year now her kitchen is still not completed.

"Beware Lowe's 90 day return policy"
We received a very large cabinet order of $34,000 before discounts at Lowe's. The cabinets that arrived damaged were promptly replaced. When I tried to return 7 pieces of unused crown molding, Lowe's would not accept them because it had been more than 90 days since delivery. These were standard 8' pieces of crown molding with a list price of over $100 each so not a small amount. The Lowe's store manager asked if my account was a pro account. I said it was an individual account. The Lowe's where I bought the cabinets declined they return and referred me referred to Lowe's corporate who stated it is the discretion of each store and referred me back to the Lowe's store. Both were firm that they would not accept the returns. I was not told about the 90 day return policy at the time of purchase. I contacted Kraftmaid Cares customer department for a remedy. Their response was "Sorry you are disappointed. Returns must be made within 90 days." To me, this is not satisfactory response from Lowe's nor Kraftmaid. The crown molding is in the most popular color of Kraftmaid cabinets. I thought my experience may be helpful to others to be aware of Lowe's and Kraftmaid return policies. Next time I will buy custom cabinets of higher quality at a much lower cost and better customer service.

"Delivery pending over 6 months"
We ordered the cabinets from home depot in March. Made full payment on the same day. The delivery date was 16 weeks. After multiple delays it was finally delivered. The delivery guys said the cabinets were just sitting in the truck and it only got delivered because they needed the truck for something else. All but one cabinet delivered. It is September and still waiting on the cabinet. The worst part is that they tell you they are going to deliver and not show up. Everything else in the kitchen is on hold because of the cabinet. Be prepared to wait months. Rude customer service. Home Depot washed its hands after the check was cashed. Talk about interest free loans.

I remodeled my kitchen in 2015 with Kraftmaid cabinets. I am extremely satisfied and happy with the quality of the wood and craft. The cabinets look gorgeous. I contacted Kraftmaid for doors replacement. The customer service is unbelievable nice (spoke with Stacey). Even my cabinet style is discontinued they place an order for the replacement. I got my doors free of charge and it looks gorgeous. Its match perfectly the original ones from 6 years ago. I really appreciated and more than happy for the service. Highly recommended to anyone with Kraftmaid. The best decision I made to remodel my kitchen with Kraftmaid. I remodeled my kitchen in 2015 with Kraftmaid cabinets. I would recommend these cabinets to anyone looking to remodel their house. The company was very nice and easy to deal with. I had a small issue and when I called them they got back right away and resolved the issue. I'm very satisfied.

"Kitchen fail"
The cabinet craftsmanship is fine. I blame the Home Depot kitchen designer and the person they sent to measure. I wanted all but one upper cabinet to be the same as I have a very small kitchen. I ended up with 3 base cabinets that would not work as they were 24" instead of 18". Also, I have one upper cabinet that is pretty much unusable. I have a tiny space to try and place items in with wasted space as it is almost impossible to get to. Again, the kitchen designer or measure person changed it to not be the same size as before.

"Response has been abysmal"
6 months after ordering cabinets and 4 months after receiving them I still do not have crown molding that even comes close to matching the stain on the cabinets. The original was far too light starter and crown. The replacement was far too light yet again. How can colors of stain from the same factory be so far off in color that the cabinet installer says he wouldn’t accept them? QC and communication was non-existent.

"McDonough kitchen/ Lowes pruchase"
The cabinets were a good quality cabinet for the price we paid, this was the 2nd Durham kitchen we have purchased. The only thing that was a negative about these cabinets were that 2 of the doors were damaged which we are still waiting for replacements (since May) and 3 or 4 of the other door corners seem to have issues with the paint coverage, as if the paint was to thin in those areas. I would like a KraftMaid representative to call me and look into the replacement doors. Thanks

"Buyer Beware"
After having Kraftmaid cabinets for 15 years, we decided to go with Kraftmaid again. Big mistake as we live in New Mexico. All cabinets going West are shipped the first leg of the journey by train which takes 3 weeks. Our cabinets were delivered to Phoenix where they were unloaded and loaded onto trucks. By time the truck got here, there were some damaged cabinets. Also, if you want a replacement cabinet, be prepared to wait...as it will go by train then truck again. The quality of the painted finish was not great. There were definitely rough patches & some joints didn't look all that great either. Now, the next issue. The Kitchen Designer assured me that the new particle boards were way better than they used to be. Don't be fooled. It's crap and always has been crap. The stuff crumples beneath a saw. Go with plywood boxes. You won't regret it. We did the first time & were very happy with our cabinets. I'm definitely unhappy with our latest purchase. I could go on and on, but won't bore you with the details.

"Responsive company, shipping issues"
Ordering via HomeDepot was very easy and actually, working with their designer was a lot of fun. The cabinets we received were exactly as we expected. I bit pricey for the quality but we really liked the look. We did have an issue with shipping as several items came severely damaged, as in looked like someone kicked the back of the cabinet in. I have to say that Hope was very efficient and generous in helping us resolve the issue. Her way of handling the issue completely made up for the inconvenience and agitation. All and all, it was worth the money just to have a great customer service.

Ordered these cabinets from Lowe's in January 2021. It is now the end of May 2021 and we still do not have all of our cabinets. They have sent wrong sizes, wrong colors and still lacking 2 cabinets and we can't get a date that they will be here. Very disappointed.

"Doors Don't Match-Kraftmaid Doesn't Care"
Two of our large pots/pans drawers were made with different center panel veneer panels than the rest of the Rustic Maple drawers/doors. After much back and forth, Kraftmaid (The Cabinetworks Group) merely stated that in their opinion the drawer fronts were "made to spec" and that there was nothing they would do. Everyone that sees these drawers agree that they stand out in a bad way from the others. They did eventually issue a refund for the cabinet in question, but we would rather have cabinets that match.

"Do not buy Kraftmaid via Lowe's period!"
After going through two sales reps @Lowes, six different customer service reps/Territory reps we have still not resolved issues that are clearly Kraftmaid production quality control issues, we are told by Lowes they will take the unacceptable product back at our additional 20% "restocking fee" expense! Shame on you Lowes. We highly suggest you buy custom made kitchen cabinets from a custom company and not from Kraftmaid and Lowes. Plus, we are now working with a customer cabinet maker to correct our cabinets (At add'l $1,000's) To make them look professional and presentable.

"Kraftmaid is any thing but"
Several reorders due to broken cabinets. Excessive order time on one reorder 12 weeks and that was an "expedite" order supposedly. Order came broken again. Customer service people at Kraftmaid could NOT have cared less. Lowe's and Kraftmaid pointing finger at each other. Lowe's giving us the "we are just as frustrated as you are". No you aren't you've had the money for this mess since October 2020 and we are sitting here nearly 7 months later with a sink and a 2 by 2 counter top in our kitchen. I cannot recommend Kraftmaid or Lowes for a kitchen remodel.
