"Hate it"
I hate the bottom rack on this dishwasher. It does not make any difference how it is loaded, it still goes off the rails and requires two hands to get it back in place. Every time I have to load or unload I dread it. The middle and top racks are fine, but this is not worth the headache and money.

"Poor Customer Service, Do Not Honor Warranty!"
I do NOT recommend Bosch appliances because of their poor customer service and not honoring their warranty. I purchased a 800 series dishwasher ($1500) and have a couple of minor issues that I was told would be taken care of. I was told by Todd McCoy, Lead CSR that an authorization would be sent to a local appliance repair company at the end of October. It is mid January and the repair company still has not received the authorization. I feel like I am being lied to and strung along by Bosch. I have made multiple attempts to contact Bosch, waiting on hold up to an hour-n-half on and have emailed daily in regards to issues. I do not recommend! I was considering purchasing a Bosch appliance suite in the near future minus the dishwasher but instead will invest in GE profile series appliances. Good Riddins!

"Terrible Dishwasher - Zero Customer Service"
We bought our Bosch Dishwasher on November 28, 2021. The dishes do not dry, unless we use the sanitize mode, which takes too long and too much energy. So, we let them air dry. Three weeks ago the soap dispenser quit working, whereas, it does not open during the wash cycle. My husband was left on hold for an hour an a half on a weekend and finally got through to a "customer service representative" on a Monday, who told him that someone would get back to him in two days. It has been three weeks and we are still waiting for customer service to call and help us fix our brand new dishwasher. For now, we use the pods and place them in the upper rack. We are beyond disappointed and frustrated with the dishwasher and lack of customer service.

"Wish I would've read these reviews before I bought my Bosch dishwashers"
If you like running your dishes for three hours and re-washing or washing before, this is the brand for you! I bought two Bosch dishwashers for my newly remodeled kitchen, one the smaller 18 inch and a larger 800 model super silence plus. I have issues with both. Agree with previous reviews the upper silverware rack is too shallow and every time you shut the door it knocks half of the silverware loose so you have to re-stack. No idea what kitchen items these were designed to hold, but certainly not pots, bowls, cookie sheets or pans. The smaller one is almost worthless with larger plates and tall glasses they won't fit at the same time, and forget about pots and pans. Both have scummy water that sits about the bottom and will mold (especially if you go on vacation) leave the dishwasher open! I clean out the filter on a regular basis and it still gets mucky. The smaller one you have to add salt on a regular basis never know exactly how much to add so just throw some in. I always add rinse aid and the recommended dishwasher soap, and every time I still have dishes I need to rewash. So wish I would've kept my GE profile, pans fit and I could fit so much more without re-washing on a regular basis. On a positive note they are super quiet and look nice.

"Do Not Buy This Dishwasher"
The pictures will tell the story! I Thought Bosch was supposed to be a good product, I guess I was wrong. I just scheduled for my second repair on this so-called dishwasher I have been hand washing dishes since the day I got it. The first repair took 5 weeks for the repair man to show up because The first time I called the person that scheduled the appointment didn't put it in the books so the manager from Home Depot called and made an appointment for me. Today I had a great lady customer service help me and I actually have an appointment next week. However the dishwasher is a piece of crap. I would love to show you pictures but I just realized that there's and we're on here to post them and that. My idea to write about is for you guys to let us post pictures, pictures worth 1000 words!

Review:
"Smells like dead rodent, terrible service"
I read a review that also mentioned the horrible smell and quoted the repairman saying that the unit needed to be "run every day." Same thing the guy told me. He also said he hardly ever encounters this problem, but if you Google Bosch dishwasher smell, the evidence suggests otherwise. I paid a lot of money for this dw and, no fault of either Home Depot or Bosch, had to replace my entire countertop to fit it in. I measured correctly, but the person who lived in my house before me had laid a tile floor in the kitchen, and the dw was something like one-sixteenth of an inch off. It was either replace the countertops or redo the whole kitchen, and I chose the latter. Again, not the fault of Bosch, but the idea that I did this for a dw that, every time I open it, smells like death, makes me wish I had bought a different brand for sure. At first I though it was not properly hooked up and was not pumping correctly, so I got a plumber to come over. He took one look at the way it was set up and said it wasn't the issue. So I called Bosch. The only appointment that had open was six weeks away. I put up with the smell for six weeks, only to be told that there was nothing wrong with the dishwasher. There is a round plug on the bottom of the dishwasher and I asked the repairman if that plug was connected to the pump. He said he was not familiar with the brands with the "plastic" bottoms (I think it's rubber, actually) and that he usually worked on the ones with steel bottoms. Regardless of what he's accustomed to, I think he might maybe acquaint himself with all types of Bosch dw's, given that this is his job. Another thing he said was that I was using the wrong type of detergent. He said there was only one sort of detergent that worked---the type that is advertised on a sticker on the door. I mean, talk about product placement. And what sort of dishwasher only operates with one type of detergent? And why wasn't I told that beforehand? He also said I needed to run it daily. I live by myself. Most days I use a few utensils, a coffee cup, a plate or bowl. He told me it used less water to run the dw than to wash the stuff by hand. If running it daily would get rid of the smell, I'd do it (though I find dubious the claim that it uses less water, etc.). But it doesn't! I asked the guy if, after two weeks of doing everything he said--using the "right" kind of detergent, running it daily, etc.---it still smelled, what would he suggest. He said he had no suggestions because there was nothing more he could do. So you wouldn't even come back, I asked him. There's no point, he said. What is pointless is buying this dishwasher. There are so many things wrong here that are troublesome, but having your house smell like death everytime you open the dw door is inexcusable. But it's obviously my fault, according to Bosch. There's nothing more they can do. They have my dough. They cashed the check. Whatever. One more thing: I rarely write negative reviews. In fact, I am far less likely to write a critical review than one that extols excellence, as I believe in rewarding good craftsmanship with a good recommendation. So to anyone thinking that this review is just another one written by a generally negative and difficult to please person, know this: It's not true. I've gone out of my way to fix this issue. And Bosch has done nothing. Mention the word "Bosch" and I smell death. This is an awful product.

"Useless Bosch 88 Number"
On December 17, 2021, I talked to the costumer service representative about my Bosch Dishwasher is not draining water properly. She was very kind and took all the personal information from me. At the end she recommended that I should contact a repairman. I was shocked to hear that I couldn't get any information from Bosch customer service. What is the use of calling costumer service. This company is poorly managed, but has good products.

"IQ"
This dishwasher was sold to me at Lowes with no information on what is required to make this dishwasher work. In order to get dried dishes, a 'rinse aid' is required. The chemical make up of this product leaves the dishes with a chemical residue that has made me ill. The dishwasher does not clean well and I have had to revert to handwashing my dishes. It is useless and dangerous due to the products required to make it functional. At 70 years old I do not want an appliance that is useless. Nor did I want to be required to now hand wash and dry my dishes with a dangerous appliance taking up space in my kitchen.

Sir I purchased a Bosch dish washer. I have had it for a month and have not had a a dry wash job I contacted a repairman and was told that they do not have heaters in them and will not dry the dishes and that I will have to leave the door open for them to dry the dishes. This is the poorest excuse for a dishwasher that I have found and will never buy a another Bosch dish washer.

"Trash"
Don't buy a Bosch dishwasher!! We had our previous dishwasher for over 10 years and never had one problem. Since we've had this overpriced piece of junk, I've had to deal with at least four "Error 24" issues, which happens when the filter, or the fan gets "clogged." Now, we basically wash our dishes before we put them in the dishwasher. I expect a dishwasher to be able to handle the occasional granule of food debris without shutting down. I'm basically ready to throw it out and get another dishwasher.

"Would never buy again"
Bought this dishwasher to replace a Kenmore Elite. Does not dry the dishes at all. You have to towel wipe them afterwards. Had a service guy come and he told me to open the door for 10 minutes after the cycle has run. What??!! I don't usually stand by and watch when the cycle ends. Makes no sense anyway. Would not recommend.

"Worst Dishwasher Ever"
When we remodeled our high end kitchen, the Bosch dishwasher came highly recommended. Worst piece of junk I have ever purchased in my entire life. It has not worked properly since day 1. Ruined 2 entire sets of glasses, a coffee cup, several pieces of silverware and other items which had gone through numerous other dishwashers with no problem. The Bosch company refuses to stand behind their product! I've been trying to get satisfaction from them for months. I've jumped through countless hoops. The last one said I needed to send an email with a copy of my receipt. A week later, they said not to email and to call. Calling accomplishes nothing. Bosch is a terrible company, they make a terrible product, and they have NO customer service. I will never purchase a Bosch product again.

"Stinky smell"
Dishwasher stinks. Purchased cleaner to remove odor. That worked but the odor came back. Found murky/stinky water under filter. Bosch says unit needs to be run daily. We are retired and don't need to. Bosch says the design is for "German" people who use it daily. We had a Whirlpool for 16 years prior to replacement. Did not Stink for one day. So much for German Engineering! Don't buy unless you will use daily.

"Worst Dishwasher Ever"
Less than 7 months old and continually comes up with an E:24 error. Have cleaned out the drain line multiple times. Performed every other online "solution" possible. How can a product that is supposed to be high end fail after such a short time? Look online, I am not alone. There seems to be a plague of E:24 errors out there. Poor engineering and poor manufacturing. Steer away from Bosch dishwashers.

"Don't Buy Bosch"
Whoever designed this obviously never loaded a dishwasher. The special silverware tray sits so close to the inner lid that silverware (regular, everyday flatware) gets knocked over when you close the tray and comes out water spotted and dirty. The rack for glassware is so shallow that we have to hand wash wine glasses, and the rack for dishes holds plates but is useless for most of our bowls.

"Bosch doesn't warranty against rust!!!"
Bought dishwasher, fridge, microwave and stove in Jan 2011 and by Nov 2011 rust!!!! Bosch won't replace the parts, offering us a 50% discount on replacements. Said it was because our condo is by the sea in Florida. The salt air is to blame. We purchased our first set of appliances 4 years ago (we live in Ct) and our appliances aren't rusting, we live by the sea there too. Will never buy Bosch again!!!!!! Less than a year old and rust and trying to place blame on us, shame on them. Our Florida neighbors have stainless steel appliances from LG and no problems. Quality and customer service has declined, never again. I will let everyone know about the lousy treatment they gave us.
