"GE Electric range top"
I have a GE Electric range in my kitchen. It was put in my apartment about 2 years ago. It heats up its Calrod cooker elements very quickly, making short order of boiling standing water. The fit is superb and is a cinch to clean. The only aesthetic improvement would have been a glass cook-top surface. Overall, it does the trick and according to the owner, was a bargain as well.

"You can't go wrong with a GE Gas Stove"
This gas stove was already in our house. We grew up with a gas stove and it is our preferred method of cooking. My favorite feature is the different burner strengths. There are two regular burners, a simmer burner, and a power burner. I also like that there is a "ready" light once the oven is pre-heated. The other feature that I enjoy is the baking timer. I don't broil much so I am not used to the broiler feature being in the main oven. The storage compartment below the oven is great for our baking sheets and pans. My big complaint would be with the burner grills. This was used by the previous owner who either did some heavy cooking or had a lot of spill-overs. The spill plates are easy to clean but the grills are not. The coating is breaking down on them. I have not looked them up but I imagine these are expensive to replace. Either way, they are sturdy and get the job done. We have never had to repair or replace it. I don't think the previous owner did either as they were good record keepers and passed along all the receipts and manuals for everything they installed in the house. I have not had to use the self-cleaning feature, but spills are easy to clean as long as you can do a quick wipe up after it cools down. No harsh chemicals needed here! I am sure there are others that are even more high tech than this model, but I think this is just right for me and I don't see any reason to have a more basic or more deluxe stovetop and oven. I am extremely satisfied with GE. My parents have a newer and similar model that was installed in their new construction home. It is as easy to use and as easy to keep clean.

"AN EXCELLENT STOVE MADE TO LAST"
I purchased the cooking center, which is an electric stove/self-cleaning oven with an attached microwave over it, in 1986 during a kitchen remodeling. Twenty-five years later, I am still using it, with no repairs and it still looks good, except for a teeny chip in the white porcelain cooking top. Since then, I have remodeled the kitchen again, and replaced the other two appliances, dishwasher and refrigerator, but could not give up the stove. Not only would I recommend GE brand again, but I hope they never go out of business because I wouldn't buy any other brand. I used to own rental units in which I had GE products and had the same luck with them also, even though they were probably abused by tenants. Over the past twenty-five years, I had the serviceman here one time and that was to replace the light in the microwave oven about five years ago. When my book club met here recently, one very young member took a look around the kitchen and said, "Oh my, you have an antique stove!". Until then it had never occurred to me that the stove was "old". Nevertheless, I'm not getting rid of it until the poor old thing dies, and so far she keeps on cooking! PS Even the oven cleaning still works beautifully.

"Stove works and looks great"
I have owned this stove for a little over a year. I have not had any mechanical problems with it. It works great for evenly cooking food. The "Hot Surface" indicator lights really help so that even 30 minutes after I make a meal I know not to set something on the stove. I never forget to turn the burner off because they light up red, so I can always tell when they are on. The only downfall is that it gets dirty fairly quickly. I find myself cleaning it every couple of days. I trust the GE brand and would absolutely buy another product from them. I would certainly recommend this stove to a friend or family member.

"A Classic Stove That is Worth Your Money"
For as long as I have lived here we have had this G.E. gas stove. I live the stove a lot because where you put the pans on the metal holders, you can remove the holders and clean them. Other stoves have the metal rings that get nasty after a year. But with this one, you can clean it yourself and keep it looking pretty close to new. The only thing I did not like was that it set off my smoke detector. It's not however a flaw of the stove it is a flaw of the smoke detector being way too sensitive. In the time that I have had this stove I have never needed to have it repaired, it has always worked fine. It is a great stove and I recommend it to any one looking to get a stove. Get this stove and you won't be sad about your purchase.

"My experience with my stove"
I bought my new stove in march of 2009. It is a good stove that I bought at the home depot. My previous stove before that came with the house. I decided to get a new stove because my old one was not working very well. It was also very out of style. I am a person who loves to cook and I could not stand living with that old piece of junk anymore. So I went to the home depot and I found a stove made by general electric that cost three hundred and ninety nine dollars. For that price it was sufficient enough to match me and my wifes needs. It consists of an oven and four burners. It is also electric. I do not mind an electric stove, but I still would rather have a gas stove. The only thing that really bugs me about it is the color. It is a white stove. I would prefer a dark stove because it stays clean much easier. With that being said , it is a nice little stove for the money and it does not pose as much of a fire hazard as a gas burner stove.

"GE stove and I love it!"
I don't really have anything bad to say about my GE stove. I've had it for a few years now. Probably 3 or 4, and I have not had any problems with it. The stove heats up quickly, the burners stay hot and are accurate to the dials. The temperature seems accurate in the oven. I have the model with the digital temperature which I would recommend over the dial kinds. The broil gets extremely hot, which is a plus. The timer is very user friendly and has always worked great. I have never had to repair it or replace it. I would absolutely recommend one to a friend or family member. I work at a cabinet store so we often are asked about appliances and what brands we would recommend. I always tell them I have a GE and I have been very satisfied with mine. Of course there are other brands we also like, but from my experience I like the GE.

"GENERAL ELECTRIC STOVES VERY PRACTICAL"
I CURRENTLY OWN A GENERAL ELECTRIC STOVE. I PURCHASED MY STOVE A LITTLE OVER TWO YEARS AGO. IT IS AN ELECTRIC STOVE, AND HAS NOT HAD TO HAVE ANY REPAIRS TO DATE. I LOVE THE DIGITAL CLOCK ON THE STOVE, AND THE EASY TO USE DIALS FOR PREHEATING THE OVEN OR THE BURNERS. THE ONLY THING THAT IS DISAPPOINTING WITH MY STOVE IS IT IS NOT THE EASIEST TO CLEAN. THERE IS NO SELF CLEANING SETTING SO IT REQUIRES A LOT OF SCRUBBING AND ELBOW GREASE. I WOULD ABSOLUTE RECOMMEND THIS STOVE TO FRIENDS, AND I WOULD PURCHASE THE BRAND AGAIN FOR SURE. I WOULD PROBABLY BUY AN UPGRADED VERSION WHICH CAME WITH A SELF CLEANING SETTING AND ALSO ONE WITH GLASS TOP BURNERS FOR EASIER TOPICAL CLEANING. HOPEFULLY, I WON'T HAVE TO BUY A NEW STOVE FOR AWHILE, AND SEEING AS HOW I HAVE NOT HAD TO HAVE ANY REPAIRS TO THIS ONE YET, THAT LOOKS PROMISING.

"I like my flat top GE stove"
I have owned my stove for about 2 years and I'm pretty happy with it. With its sleek, flat black top, it looks great in my kitchen. It is very reliable. I like that the two larger burners have two size selections for cooking. And the built-in digital timer is very handy. I'm not crazy about the layout of the stove. The two larger burners are both positioned in the front, and it is very difficult to use two large skillets or pots at the same time. Maintenance is not as easy as I hoped either. With the flat top, wiping the surface clean after cooking is fairly simple but it is challenging to remove substances that have cooked on to the stove. Knock on wood, I haven't had to repair the appliance, and I would definitely consider buying a GE stove again.

"Practical Choice, Decent Performance"
One day, I came to the realization that my old stove needed to go. It was brown, clashed with virtually every color in my kitchen, and was a huge hassle to clean. It also had poor insulation, and allowed a lot of heat to escape. After getting rid of my old stove, I purchased an energy star General Electric stove with a stainless steel surface. I am absolutely enthralled by the appearance - it matches my General Electric energy star microwave and the stainless steel handles on my cabinets - and cannot complain about its performance. I have owned it for five years now and have never once had to send a repairman in to fix it. It has the option of turning off by itself after a predetermined amount of time, and the oven light is amazing - watching my food bake is like watching to food network in action. I have always been a fan of General Electric, so I may be a bit biased, but I always recommend this product to my friends anyway. It really has lived up to my expectations in every way possible.

"Cooking on Gas so much nicer than cooking with electric"
When we first moved into our home, there was an electric stove installed. We used it for a short while, but it quickly became obvious that we missed cooking with gas. Thus, we resolved to get a new gas range ASAP. Looking at the available brands, we decided on a simple General Electric range. It offered a good burner distribution and size, and a very generous oven. From day we we loved this stove. I like the fact that it uses "electric free" ignition for the burners. All you have to do is dial the burner all the way up and a spark ignites the flame. Never fails to light! I also like how much control you have over heat with a gas stove. Our General Electric allows you to really fine tune your flame so you can cook anything with precision. With such a large oven, we're able to cook everything from loads of cookies to a massive 35 lb. turkey. About a year ago we had a slight valve problem with the stove. Looking up the problem online with General Electric not only showed us what was wrong, but directed us to a repair service that took care of the stove the next day. I would easily recommend General Electric if you're looking for a new gas powered stove. For the features and quality, I don't think you can do better for the price.

"GE Profile Natural Gas Range - Good but not Great"
I've owned my GE Profile Natural Gas Range for just over 6 years. If I had to do it over, I'd probably try to find one a little simpler and more child proof, but overall, I really have enjoyed using it. The range is very beautiful (I have the all-black version with cast-iron burner grills). It's easy to clean, very reliable (no issues with reliability whatsoever), and just generally works well. On the downside, the burner controls are right in front, where they can be easily reached by children. This makes child-proofing pretty difficult, and it makes being in the kitchen with the kids very nerve-wracking. Also, the controls are really and unnecessarily complicated. For example, in 6 years, I've never been able to figure out how to lock the oven door (also a chile safety concern). I know it locks because the digital screen tells me it's locked when it's in self-clean mode, but I have no idea how to do it by myself. Also, it's really easy to hit the wrong button when stopping the timer, and so about 50% of the time I wind up turning the oven off instead of turning the timer off. I'd definitely buy the same brand again, and I would recommend it, but I'd probably recommend looking for a specific model with simplified controls.

"GE Profile Double Oven"
We have owned the GE Profile Double Oven for over 4 years now. It has a glass cooktop stove, a large convection oven, and a smaller second oven. The cooktop is very versatile; it has one small burner, two medium burners with a bridge burner between them, and a variable 3 sized burner. In addition to the burners, it has a warming zone at the back, to keep dishes warm while the rest of your meal cooks. The only complaint would be that since it is a glass cooktop, over time it does get some scratches that cannot be removed. The oven is large and cooks very evenly and it can be set to convection oven mode, or regular mode. It is easy to wipe clean. the second oven is a small drawer type oven, it can be used to heat or cook food, or can be used for storing baking pans. We have had no repairs or problems, and we would recommend it to others.

"Fifteen years of wonderful meals"
I purchased a GE Profile stove model number JPB95AW1AA 15 years ago when it was new technology. Not only did this stove advertize a glass top cooktop with two halogen and two conventional burners but it had a convection oven and a probe for cooking. Over the years, I have cooked many things on and in this stove. I have discovered there are a few things that I purchased it for, that are great and some not the best. Things I love: Glass top cooking is the best, it is a cinch to clean up. Halogen elements heat up fast and rival a gas stove Convection cooking, while I have heard it was wonderful for baking, it is even greater for roasting. My convection roasted chicken, roasts and turkeys have been a rave of many a meal and it is nearly twice as fast as conventional ovens. What also makes this stove great is there is a temperature probe you can put in the oven in the meat and see in a display on top, where the temperature is. This really helps timing with the other meal items. Things I don't love so much: Halogen elements may be fast, but they are not so great for a big pot of pasta. They just don't seem to maintain a high heat consistently enough. Also, I have two six inch elements and two nine inch elements, one of which can be used as a smaller element. Since the one conventional nine inch element is at the front of the stove that one is often the pasta pot forcing me to use the smaller elements for everything else. I would have preferred to have another nine inch conventional element instead of one of the other ones or a fifth element. Over the years I have had three repairs with this stove. Shortly after I bought it, the temperature probe quit working. It was under warrantee so was replaced for free. The repairman that came said not only had he never heard of one going bad, but he did not know anyone but me that used it. Over 10 years later, I had the adjustable burner's nine inch element stop working. Though I was tempted to change it myself, I paid for the service and now I would know how to do it myself. The repairman was professional and knowledgeable. The repair was done in under a half hour. The cost was reasonable. Twelve year since I had gotten a new probe, the temperature probe went again. After that many years of frequent use, that was not an issue. I bought a replacement on ebay for half the price that the GE site advertized and have been using it since. I would heartily recommend this brand to a friend and have many times, as I have been pleased.

"The best stove we have ever had!"
We have owned our GE stove for 4 years now and we love it. It has a much bigger oven than the last stove we had. It has served us well the entire time we have had it. It never causes any problems and it is extremely easy to clean. I love to cook, so it is very important to me to have a great stove. I have quite a large family and the oven has done everything I have asked it to do. The best part about this stove is how easy it is to clean. The glass top is so much better than the old burners I hated to clean. If I had to buy a new stove today, I would have no problem going out and getting this one again. It was very affordable and looks great in the kitchen. Over all, this is the best stove I have ever had and I will recommend it to anyone that asks my opinion.
