"Don't waste your money"
Better plan to start cooking supper around noon because that's how long it will take you to cook on this stove. This is the worse stove I have ever cooked on. The oven is great, heats evenly but the sensi temp stovetop burners suck. No matter what temp you have the burner set on it will cook on super low temp. By the time you finish frying your food the rest is cold because you had to spend 50 minutes frying a thin cut pork chop. This stove sucks, don't buy one!

"Dumb technology"
Worst stove made ever. Takes forever to cook something, the Oversmart sensor inside the stove turns off or lowers the temperature of the stove while cooking. They say the technology is to reduce the energy consumption but what's the point if it takes double the amount of time to cook.Specially when frying the stove temperature goes down and your blood pressure goes up.

"GE Stoves are Great."
We bought this stove for my mother back in 2010. We have not had any problems with it. She's past away now, but she always told me at every holiday that she loves how much it can hold. For the price even I would recommend this model to any one.

"Why Hot Points are not good stoves"
i own a Hot Point stove and it is not by choice my landord gave it to me as replacement because my old one broke. They sure don't make things like they used to. Also everything must be cooked at 400 degrees or more for it to get hot.

"When it Works, it Works Great"
I have had my Hotpoint stove for about 5 years now and it worked great to start with. This has been my second electric stove and I was surprised at how well it cooked to begin with. The oven heated evenly and the burners included a large sized heating element on the back burner as well. This larger rear burner made cooking smoky or smelly meals a lot easier as the smoke would rise right up into the ventilation hood much better than something cook on the front burner. The biggest problem I have had with this stove is reliability. It seems like at least one of the heating elements starts to fade and burn out every few months. As time went by the cooking times of all my favorite foods kept going up and up as less and less of the heating elements would work. Because the stove is a fixed appliance by my lease agreement the burners have always been replaced at no charge to me, but it is still a frustrating process to go through. I have been some what pleased with this stove. When it works, it works great but I would hope a newer model by the company would of fixed this high rate of burn out.

"Very Economical and Satisfied"
I have had my Hot Point Stove for 5 years now. I love that it came in a Silver Metallic Color which gives you the look of Stainless Steel without the price or finger prints ! It has a glass top which gives me lots of extra counter space for entertaining occasions. I like this because I do not have to put hotter items, such as crock pots, or warming plates on my counters and worry about damage. It has 2 larger burners and two smaller ones. It's self cleaning, has a timer, digital settings which are very easy to use. I love cooking on it, everything can be wiped up, there is no taking apart burners, etc. I did have to replace the bottom heating element when it was about 4 years old. The repair was quick and easy, but it did cost around a hundred dollars. I asked the repair man if this was unusual, and it was a common repair for someone who bakes alot such as myself. The glass top can be hard to keep immaculate, and youwill notice a difference on the burner used the most. You should always use the cleaners that are recommended for this type of top and that's something I did not always do. This stove looks great, functions well, and is a great buy for the price, I would and have recommend it to my friends. I have received compliments on this appliance.
